We are doing a quick blow out trip to DL in June and I was hoping someone here knows if the DL VIP tours are the same as the WDW VIP tours? Are there premium and standard category VIP tours at DL too? I understand that they can only be booked a month out but wanted to have an idea what to expect.
Thanks!

Maybe they've discontinued it?

They have VIP tours listed on the Disneyland.com. website in the Things To Do/Guided Tour section but it only has a one sentence description and it says that it can only be booked one month in advance. I was hoping someone may have been on or booked one and know if it is the same as a WDW VIP tour.

I don't know though. If you think they don't have them anymore I don't want to count on it as an option only to find out a month before our trip that it no longer exists.

Hmm...interesting, I will have to look into it the next time I am there.

There are VIP tours at Disneyland. You can book them way more than 30 days in advance (unlike other tours). Not sure how far, but possibly as much as 6 months. There is only one type of VIP tour at Disneyland.

I went on one of the VIP tours a few ago with a group of ladies. There were so many of us, that they split us up into 3 groups. I was lucky and had a wonderful guide. The rest of the ladies were not as happy, but OK with it. Our guide was very Disney savvy and told us alot of fun stuff.

The next year, the ladies group did it again, but it did not go good at all. And this is why.

The VIP tour should be called more of an escort tour. They mostly just lead you around and answer your questions. You have to be very specific in what you desire before you go. It was unfortunate, but most of the ladies the second time around, knew more than the guide. Their guide practically knew nothing. She was more of an escort.

Anyways, be advised about that. Maybe things have changed. I know that most of ladies got their money back, cuz it was not what they expected.

Oh, but you do get VIP spots for shows though. For some, that is worth the price alone. :thumbsup2

All Disneyland Resort VIP Tours provide Guests with the opportunity to experience the Theme Parks completely care-free. A Disney Host or Hostess will act as a personal ambassador, customising one's visit using their distinct insight into the Resort, as well as access to special seating for Parades, Live Shows and a wide variety of restaurants.

VIP Tours may be booked up to 90 days in advance by contacting Disney Special Activities on 714 300-7710. Prices range from $175 to $295 per hour, with a minimum tour length of six hours.

While it isn't promoted much, there are actually indeed two types of VIP Tours in California as well.

For an additional charge, Guests can upgrade to a Premium VIP Tour. Premium Tours include complimentary valet parking at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, where a Host or Hostess will meet the group and take them to the Theme Park of their choice. It includes expedited Theme Park entry, special viewing areas for shows and parades, and may possibly allow Guests to experience their favourite attractions again and again.

We are going to Disneyland 12/27 and it will be crowded..so I looked into there VIP tours...they do have 2 VIP tours the "Premium" one gives you unlimited access to the fast pass lines...the "regular" VIP tour does not. It costs $295 an hour for up to 10 people with a minimum of 6 hours........but considering the time of year I am going I think it is worth it..have fun
