Cast: Lynn (that’s me) self proclaimed Disneyland Princess 40, DD, Tiffany 19, Chrissy (my best friend in the whole world) 37, her DD’s Heather 15, and Sarah 12

Just an insight to us before I start the report...I have been to Disneyland a bajillion times as well as my dd; but Chrissy and her dd’s have never been :scared1: ...I know I know, what is the world coming to. So this trip was really exciting for me as its so much fun going with first timers.. I had posted a thread way back at the end of Jan or beginning of Feb. indicating that all the DLR properties as well as the superior properties were sold out and I was freaking out so I booked 3 properties..CCI, Fairfield, and Sheraton...just a tip...even if the website and all the packages through WDTC, AAA, or any other companies out there show no room, call the hotels directly...DLR properties were still sold out but the three I chose still had a few rooms left...I decided pretty early on that It was going to be between CCI and Sheraton...I ended up choosing Sheraton because it was about $100 cheaper and also I had been there last year in May and know what the property is like...another tip...I emailed one of the executives and told him I was thinking about staying there but there had been alot of negative feedback as of late and I was concerned and he replied most promptly, stating that he would personally guarantee me a refurbished room away from the construction and on the bottom floor..which made me very happy...I ended up cancelling the CCI because again, as of late, there has been back to back negative feedback and some of the concerns I had were coming out...

Our trip was from March 11-17 and we drove from Merced to Anaheim, which usually is about a 5 hour drive...This trip was not too much different but we had to go over the grapevine and it was snowing and rainy the whole way and boy was it cold...we made good time and for the first time ever, we didnt encounter alot of traffic :woohoo: ...once we got there we were able to check in straight away..we stayed on the main floor in the C wing room 1171 which is a poolside room :yay: ..this room was one of the refurbished rooms...they have changed the carpets, beds and all the furniture..oh and it includes a refrigerator...which in the past they have charged $25 a night for...the fridge also has a freezer area which was nice...wasnt used but it was nice...after we checked in, we left to go to downtown disney...when we got to the gate there was nobody there and we didnt even have to take a ticket so we werent charged for parking...Im not sure if they stopped charging for parking but we didnt have to this time :confused3 ..ok now this is the cool part....we went to RFC so I could apply for the safari club...had to go to a register in the store and get the pamphlet and was told to give it to my server and she would charge us for the membership at that time...I went up to the “elephant” where safari club members check in and he asked for my card, I advised him that we were told to give it to the server so he wrote us a return pass for half hour....we went into some stores and looked around and when we got back we were seated within 5 minutes...I had tried for 2 weeks, on a daily basis to see if anyone canceled a ressie that day...they were booked for the entire weekend...so for us to get in within an hour was a miracle...we ordered drinks and got the bruchetta appetizer and I had the pastalaya with rice instead of pasta which was very spicy, dd had a burger as well as sarah and heather...Chrissy ordered the chicken caesar salad...we were all too stuffed for dessert...the best part was after all the excitement and being full, I completely forgot about paying for the safari club...I dont go to RFC usually and the only reason I was going to sign up for it that night was so that we could get in standby at half the time...so I ended up getting in a packed house at half the wait time and not even having to get the membership :cool1: ...after dinner we were going to look around and got as far as the DL hotel but it was freezing and the wind was blowing so hard and we were beat so we left and dropped the girls off at the hotel while I gave Chrissy a tour of Harbor Blvd all the way to Garden Grove, showing her all the different hotels and we ended up at Albertsons in GG to purchase sodas and water and some champagne to celebrate our vacation...worked out good seeing as we had the fridge so we were able to save a few $$$ which ended up being spent at the parks anyways lol...when we got back the girls had already been swimming and gotten in the hot tub and were back in the room so we put some ice in glasses and toasted ourselves :drinking: and then passed out for the night...

Day 2 in the park will come tomorrow

How do you get an email address for one of the execs? We are staying there in 2 weeks, if it is the castle one?
