disneyland to disney soda fountain???

If you're going to the Soda Fountain just because the Disney name is on it, I don't know that it's worth the time, effort, and energy it takes to get up there. It's just a little ice cream shop with Disney merchandise for sale.

However, if your really want to see the Chinese Theater, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and all that stuff, then it's a slightly different matter. The El Capitan is a fun place to see a movie, but matinee prices there are more expensive than evening showtimes in just about every state, so I'd only see a movie there if you are just dying to see a movie there or the film there is a Disney film not otherwise available in theaters.

I totally agree. I was not at all impressed with the food. It could be fun to see if you could see Jimmy Kimmel taping. It's next door. DownTown Hollywood is a wierd wild place. My sister in law from Kansas was Freaked OUT! I didnt think it was that bad. It was neat to see the Hollywood sign directly through the window of the shopping center across the street.

We enjoy going to Hollywood for the day. The parking is usually $10 for the day, not bad at all and the drive is fine. I hear so many horror stories about traffic and bad driving, but we have been for 2 different weeks this year without issue. Traffic is expected and we just planned for it, but on friday evening was our only issue.

The food is good at the fountain and it is alot of fun to look around at all the sites.
