Great!!
BUMP! How's everyone's training going?
Hi: I'm new to the boards (sorry if this is a double post). My cousin and I (33 & 30 y/o no kids) are brand new to running and signed up for the Neverland 5k. We are staying at the Grand California. Any other beginning runners signed up for the Neverland 5k.
Congrats to all who are signed up for the 1/2. My knees are killing me after 2 weeks of training with "couch to 5k" (the iphone app). More power to you guys and gals!
Me too! I'm going with 4 of my good friends (one of whom is a frequent runner) but the rest of us don't run at all. I think I'm more prepared then the other 3, since I walk roughly 6-8 miles everyday just at work.Hi: I'm new to the boards (sorry if this is a double post). That'd be nice. My one experience in Dec 2010 with WOC was terrible and we skipped it in Oct, so we didn't have to deal with the chaos and disappointment again.I think instead of a Twilight Ticket that should have a viewing of World of Color before the race just for runners.
Wow! Sounds so great! I'm kind of new to running (2-5k, 1st 1/2) and I can't imagine having anything attached to me!I'm not going in full costume, just accessories. I get to hot and would be ripping it off by mile 5!!And I think I'm all done too! For the 1/2, I have a lime green running shirt(matches DIS/WISH too) and black capris (or long tights if it's cold). For accessories, I have some green tinted body glitter that glows in the dark (good for both races
), a skinny green mesh boa from Halloween to attach to the underneath of my running belt, little Tink stud earrings and green shoe laces for my shoes. Also found this little lovely on the Disney Store website last week and it's on it's way to me right now:
I figured I could attach it on top of my running hat w/ bobby pins.
As for the 5k... Mr. Smee popped into my head this week. So I think I'm going w/ that. I'm thinking cut off sweats for the bottoms and a long red beanie for the hat, b/c I have a feeling that 10:30 on a January night could be cold and it'll keep me warm.
I agree w/ you about a lot of Tinkerbells.
I was at the Spirit Halloween Store earlier in the week and they had a Tink costume w/ a light-up dress and I was thinking of making it a skirt over my capris, but they only had smalls left so no go.
I would suggest BW Stovall's if looking for a budget friendly option. I think the race will be a lot of fun!
I'm signed up for the 5k, my Mom and I signed up yesterday.
Not going to lie!!!!!! I havent ran since the Disneyland Half. LAZY. the problem is that i have goofy before Tink at WDW
anyone dressing up for the marathon or 5k? I'm sure there will be a lot of tinkerbells. Anyone ever heard of Team Sparkle? I can't post the link (I dont have 10 posts yet) but it's a pretty cool site and they have fun running gear.
