Disneyland- Stroller as a Wheelchair

I have 2 young kids- we get a GAC so my youngest can use her stroller as a wheelchair.

We have taken many trips to WDW and we usually rent a double stroller. There has never been a problem with us taking the double stroller through the lines and into the buildings/stores. Often, CMs will even let us take the double stroller through the regular lines (since we do not usually need an alternate entrance...just to keep the stroller with us, and the lines at WDW are pretty wide).

We are going to DL for the first time in a few weeks and will still need to use a stroller as a wheelchair. But, we really want to be able to take that stroller into the regular lines. I hear everything in DL is smaller- including the lines and the waiting areas.

Has anyone had experience taking a double stroller through the lines (regular or alternate entrance) at Disney?

I realize a single stroller would certainly work, but I am going to be alone in the parks with my 2 kids and I cannot push 2 single strollers at the same time....

a lot of DL is pre ADA compliant/mainstreamed. which means strollers will not fit in the regular lines at all. getting a SaWC GAC will just allow you to use the alternate entrances( typically coming in the exit)

if the stroller is double wide, it will not work. even a single wide double will be hard pressed to make it

DCA is better as many of their lines are mainstreamed

Unfortunately I don't have any experience pushing a stroller through DL, but I have been to the park many times. It seems that many of the lines are narrow, definitely narrow enough that I would not want to have the experience of pushing a double stroller through. As the previous poster noted, alternate entrances are usually available.

We used a double stroller as a wheelchair in 2010. Not sure if much has changed since then but it certainly WAS do-able. We had issues fitting through the doors to the theater on Main St, the monorail, the entrance gates to CA (we had to go through a larger gate but that might be changed in the reno) and it was a little tight through the alternate entrance to Roger Rabit and pooh he had to walk a short distance since the buggy wouldn't fit all the way. We also had to park and walk/carry for most restaurants. In DL most of the lines are not ADA compliant so we used alternate entrances. In CA we were able to keep the double stroller with us through most regular lines. We used a side by side double that we rented from an outside company. A front to back double would fit MUCH easier.
ETA - we had a medically fragile 6 yo and a 6 month old in the buggy.

I would suggest checking how long a front to back double is and how much space it takes to turn.
A standard wheelchair is 48 inches long or shorter. If any stroller is longer than 48 inches or wider than 32, it will have great difficulty going in even the wheelchair accessible lines/spaces.
