Disneyland Solo

Absolutely go to Disneyland solo if you have to!

I was there with my dad last month. He was there for the National Postal Forum. We did the parks together and with friends, but during the days he was working I headed into the parks on my own and had a blast.

My dad doesn't do the really crazy rides, so I took advantage of the solo time to go on Space Mountain (7 times), the Matterhorn (3 times), California Screamin (twice), the Tower of Terror (twice), the Maliboomer and Splash Mountain.

We did manage to get Dad on Big Thunder Mountain, and even when he was working he met up with me in the parks every night to go on Indiana Jones, which was our favorite ride.

DL and DCA are so close together it's really easy to hop between the two parks--I'm a WDW vet and this was my first trip to DL, so I'm still stunned at how close the two parks are.

I also took advantage of the time to get lots of pictures for my Disneyland scrapbook. I went through all the shops on Main Street (found a great music book) and watched the cartoons in the movie theater for awhile. I even got my picture with Mickey and Minnie. :)

So don't worry about being there by yourself--there's lots to do and you don't want to pass up the chance to visit Disneyland if you're close enough to get there. :thumbsup2

Sounds like you had a ton of fun! I am getting more excited as each minute passes. In fact, I am trying to figure out how to stay longer.
