Hi, Everyone! We are going to Disneyland in January...this is my first trip to Disneyland...been to WDW tons of times. :)

My question is - do you all know of any website that has discount Disneyland tickets? I have found offers for Hotel and Park passes, but not just park passes by themselves. Any ideas or thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks a mil!!!

I'm going in January, too! I'll be there before and after the CHA convention ... Jan 24-30! When will you be there?

pixiedustforever,

Hi there!! We are going to visit family the week of the 17th - 24th, and we will be doing Disneyland Jan 19th and 20th with the fam. It's gonna be fun, and I am soo excited!

BTW, we live in Plano! :-)

Hi, welcome to the west coast Dis!

There are not a whole lot of options for discounted tickets. About the best you can do is get a convention rate, if there is a large convention nearby at the time you are going. Check the DL website for some info-- but they won't give you the name of the conventions... you have to find out yourself which conventions have a deal with Disney to offer discounted tickets. I don't think there are many that you could access if you're not actually attending the convention.

Other than that, we're talking $5-$10 off for AAA members, Ares Travel... that's all I can think of off the top of my head. Unless you get into illegal ticket transfers off e-bay, which I don't advise. People buy 8-day parkhoppers and resell them 2 and 3 days at a time, making a profit.

On another note, I recommend reading Hydroguy's Tips Compilation, a sticky thread at the top of this forum: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1520483 He has several threads in there about DL for WDW vets that you will probably find very helpful!

Have fun planning!:)

avalon451,

Thank you soo much for the info! I agree - I don't want to buy tickets off eBay either. Just looking for some way to get a discount if any. Thanks again for your help and the link to the boards! :)

My favorite place to get tickets for a good deal is

www.getawaytoday.com

Here when you can purchase your tickets, 2 confirmations are sent to you, but you only need to use one of those. One is an email confirmation which you can print out and take with you to the park, and the other is sent snail mail to your home. These state that you purchased your tickets from Getawaytoday. Take either of those confirmations to the park and they give you your paper park pass tickets at the ticket booth just in front of the park entry. All you need to do is present the card you purchased your passes with. Getawaytoday deals electronically with Disneyland sending them electronic confirmation for your tickets. Disneyland is the one who gives you the proper passes once you arrive there.

As for conventions, here is the Anaheim convention center calender of events link below. This is the place you need to watch out for. If there are big conventions going on during that time, or even multiple ones, it will bring in larger crowds to Disneyland

The best deal I was able to find was through my union. The tickets were a good $10-15 cheaper than anywhere else.

I purchased a 2 day hopper at the hotel desk. I paid $132 for a 2 day hopper pass. You can not buy the 2 day hopper passes at the ticket counter.

Enjoy and have fun
Patty
