Disneyland Resort Express Bus Service

This seems like a REALLY long time.

Aren't there only 4-5 stops total for this bus?

Granted, I have never used it. DH and DS used it one trip when they flew home last spring and had zero issues. We are planning on booking it for my mom and the kiddos as they are flying down next month. DH and I will be driving this trip (we will have different arrival dates), and we will all drive home together.

No, the bus will stop at 25 hotels if there are 25 different hotels to stop at.

I think its mousesavers that suggests the shuttle and its bang on. Ive taken both. There is ZERO benefit to taking that bus. Its slow. Its the same price. It stops at DLH first for AWHILE. You may have to xfer to a different bus there. You have to deal with a lot of stops lots of times. Its slow to get in and out of the hotels.

I took a shuttle my previous trip for the first time. Its sooo easy. And unlike the bus, its reliable, direct and they only seat about 7 people so it only makes VERY few stops. Whe you want to go back, you tell it what time to come, they send someone. They phone five minutes before arriving. The bus has a schedule of sorts. Its never on time though, early late, whatever. Again, the shuttle is the same price, maybe it was 3 dollars more actually now that i think on it. 3 dollars is worth every penny.

Its often 45 minutes from DLH to your hotel, ive stayed at PP before and had it take 20 minutes from there. Sometimes everyone has to get off, the driver has to collect ALL the money from everyone, this takes quite some time. Its just a mess. I dont understand how it stays in business compared to the shuttles, excpet disney sold their name to them I guess, and that goes a long way.

The Disneyland Express doesn't stop at every hotel. When it stops near the crosswalk at BWPPI, that is the stop for many of the surrounding motels near that area. When we stayed at the Carousel Inn, we had to walk to/from the bus stop in front of BWPPI as did many other people who stayed in nearby hotels. That "stop" serves a lot of the hotels at once. :) I don't know how many stops it makes, though, but there are definitely "set" stops.:)

Thats reassuring, my travel agent booked the Disneyland Express for us, and I was having nightmares of sitting on the bus round anaheim for hours.......:scared1: hopefully there will only be a few stops, I don't mind lugging bags across a street to save time.

Are these buses usually pretty full? We land at 10.30am into Lax, is that a common arrival time do you think? oh well we can just snooze on the bus if needs be :goodvibes

If we are staying at the Howard Johnson's do we need to get off the bus at the crosswalk near BWPPI too?

We are here at DL right now :)
I just wanted to chime in because I had been watching this thread in horror too, since we had planned on using the bus to save some $. Our experience was great! We flew in this past saturday (noonish). We caught the 1:15 bus out of SNA, had to wait about 10 minutes, because the bus is on a schedule.
There were only 8 people total on the bus, 3 different parties. We are staying at the HOJO and we were the 1st stop, right in front of the hotel. There was no traffic.. maybe 20 minutes to get here.

One of the other groups was DLH, so they don't necessarily stop there first. It sounds like the bus has changed a bit since some people has taken in, I would be curious about a busier day, but if they do one stop on harbor for several hotels, then I can see it still be a quick service.

And we have had a couple horror shuttle experiences, with circling the airport several times to fill up the van (cram them in like sardines) and then of course being the last drop off after several different residential stops. It totally sucks... :)

No, it will make a stop at BWPPI for the cluster of hotels there and then head up Harbor Blvd. to Hojo's where it has it's own stop.:) It will drop you off right in front of the main building for check-in. We love using disneyland express and plan on always using it. We have never had any problems. I haven't heard many complaints about them until recently and it has only been a few compared to what I've seen from people who DO like them. :) It should work out great for you. :)
