Aloooooooooha everyone!!!!!:)

I'm a virgin.......This is my very first post. So be kind.

Ok........to some serious business. My family will be going to Disneyland for the Christmas/New Years Holiday season.:santa: I know this is one of the busiest seasons there.

I have already been reading quite a few threads regarding this matter, although I haven't read them all (I'm at work right now:ssst: don't tell my boss).

On Mousesavers.com has a post "Getting Around: Discounts on Airport Shuttles" and someone has graciously gave us a heads-up on a $3 off discount coupon that you can print-out for a round trip bus ride to and from the airport via the Disneyland Resort Express Bus. Love all you guy for these insider tips.:lovestruc

My question (hope it hasn't been posted yet):

I want to book the Disneyland Resort Express Bus to Disneyland and I know the first stop the bus will be making will be at the DLH. Does anyone know approximately how long the bus will take (during the busy season) to get to the BestWestern Park Place Inn, on Harbor Blvd., after the stop at DLH? Also, I know it might be a long ride to the hotel from the airport, but is there a restroom on the bus?

Mahalo in advance for all of your help:cutie:

I am going to move this to the DL forum for you. Hopefully you can get an answer there. :)

Welcome! We just returned from Disneyland on Saturday--so sad to be home again! We took the DL Express to get to our motel (the Desert Inn and Suites).

Yes, there is a bathroom on the bus--it is teeny tiny, but it is there. After the Disneyland Hotel, we were on the bus for about 45 more minutes before we got to our motel. Then again, I'm almost positive the bus driver got lost because he did a u-turn at one point. Hmmm.

By the way, the bus does NOT play Disney movies. I read that at one point and it is not true. It does, however, play a promotional video for the various tours that they do.

Mahalo for all of your replies and for moving this thread to its correct location.

We went to Disneyland just this past June. We rented a car from LAX to Disneyland and used the Super Shuttle to return to LAX.

I suggest renting a car only if you REALLLLLLY need to. Never again; especially if you are just going straight to Disneyland.

Super Shuttle was ok because we were the last ones they picked-up before heading straight to LAX. The driver was ok (quiet). The drive was a little Indy 500ish. The van could use a little work on it though. I'm just glad the seat belts work.

I think we will be going with the Disneyland Resort Express bus this coming holiday trip.

Another question: Did anyone use the $3 off discount coupon I mentioned eariler? If so, did you give it to the bus attendant the same time you paid for the round trip fare?

Again, Mahalo for all of your inquires.

We used the coupon during our last trip and yes, we gave it to the bus driver when he came around for payment. We received RT tickets at that time. I can't seem to find the coupon any longer on their site so I assumed it wasn't available any longer. Does anyone know if it still is there, and if so, what is the link? :)

Howzit everyone!!!!

The link to the $3 off discount coupon is from the mousesavers.com website.

Here's the link:

Does anyone know if there is any expiration date on this coupon? I can barely read the fine print on the bottom of the coupon. I would like to use this coupon when we go in December. Oh yeah, this coupon is for 1 per person in your party and its used only on round trips to and from Disneyland either through LAX or Orange County airports.

Thank you so much for posting the link.:) I don't see an expiration date on the coupon, but I wonder if the company is still using it or accepting it because I've looked everywhere on their website and it is hasn't been there for a while. I think I may call them and ask. Just to clarify, yes, the coupon is good for only one person in your party, but everyone can use a coupon, so you can print out as many as you need. (I thought that's what you might be saying, but I wanted to clarify just in case.:) Maybe someone can let us know if they have successfully used the coupon recently. :)

I am not sure, of course, that this is what happened, but just thought I'd mention, U-turns are legal and used as a traffic control tool in a lot of areas in California...some spots you have to pull a U-turn to get to a certain side of the road. Maybe that's what that driver was doing? :confused3 I hope Disney is training their drivers where to go!!! :rotfl:

The Goofy Hawaiian, you probably already read this or heard it, but I didn't see it posted here, so I thought I would mention that there are limited hours for the Express to get you to the airport. Our last trip, my DH and DM had to use a car service because the Disneyland Resort Express Bus couldn't pick them up early enough to drop them off for a flight any earlier than 9:00am. We thought that to be a little odd, since there are a lot of people who fly home early to not waste a whole day on travel. Just thought I'd bring it up in case you (or someone else out there) plans on using them to get to an early flight.

I hope you have a great time! :thumbsup2

The Disneyland Express bus drivers are not employed by Disney. They are employees of Gray Line. Disney does not run this service.

This seems like a REALLY long time.

Aren't there only 4-5 stops total for this bus?

Granted, I have never used it. DH and DS used it one trip when they flew home last spring and had zero issues. We are planning on booking it for my mom and the kiddos as they are flying down next month. DH and I will be driving this trip (we will have different arrival dates), and we will all drive home together.

Thanks Goofy Hawaiian for the link. You just helped me save $15.00!

Only 12 days till our 1st trip! I can hardly wait!

We used Super Shuttle the first time we went to DL in 2003, and since there were 5 in our group, I think we only had 2 other stops before ours, and they were in the Disney area.

Having said that, I've heard horror stories of having to go to residential areas for drop-offs before heading for the DL hotels, consequently losing an hour or more. Even though our experience wasn't bad, I don't think I'll ever go on super shuttle again, and even the Disneyland Express sounds like it's too time-consuming since we won't be staying onsite next time. My time at the parks is just too precious to waste driving around!

hmmm...dissarahk did say she thought the driver got lost. hopefully it won't be 45 minutes more after dropping folks off at DLH. we're taking the bus too from SNA staying at the tropicana, so hopefully it'll be quick! where are you guys staying?

Well you know........"Pay it Forward". Since you guys on this forum help me, in return, I help you (even though it is something small like a coupon).

dopeydoc&sleepy: Enjoy your trip. This will be an experience you'll never forget. Also, if you don't mind, since you'll be using the $3 off coupons, can you please ask the bus attendant if there is an expiration date on these coupons? When you return from your trip, can you please report your experience? We all would definitely appreciate it:thumbsup2
