Since we don't know what they will be doing with the statues, I thought I would take one to remember it by.

Now, this photos isn't very good. I knew that the reflection from Main Street would obscure most of the window display, but I had to try - ya know?

What I think is so funny about this pic is that it is a double self portrait! First, you see my larger reflection in the window glass, but then if you look closely, I'm perfectly framed in the mirror in the display!

Well, at least I thought it was funny! :lmao:

I love your photos and Danny's and Robert's, too - I know I'm leaving a whole bunch of folks out! You guys all make me want to run out and upgrade my measely Sony to a really nice digital SLR. (I also feel bad for my AE1 and the 3 other non-digitals sitting in their bags in the closet like red-headed step children!)

I think your shot is very cool. I almost feel as if I'm about to play the Disneyland Uno game, but since we actually have one with a similar theme....

This was taken back in December of 2005 - our oldest again - on my shoulders as we were leaving DL Baby Care. If you have ever been in the waiting area, they have a Victorian wall grouping of photos and mirrors.

That's really nice Joe! You have some phenomenal work. Perlster, that is a fabulous architecture shot!

I have a question - when linking my Flickr photos, how do I make them bigger in my post? I'm new at this and I noticed they come out really small compared to most.

That's such a GREAT picture NostalgicDad! It's in a unique angle too, made it even better! I'm glad to see you're back for more awesome pictures =)

OO! Is this new?? I don't remember seeing that in June!

Thanks, it's from the Wheel House of the Mark Twain. Here's another decent shot that I got from that vantage point:

I think what bugs me most about these shots is that the sky is white. I have no idea why the sky isn't blue in my photos. :(

It's because you are getting ready to move to Washington, and the sky is seldom "blue" here!

You guys have really inspired me, so finally I have a couple of decent shots that I want to post.

I have a couple of these at different times of the year, because the architecture simply fascinates me for some reason. I'll have to upload the one I took at sunset last year. The compostion was better and the color was amazing.

Nice job! It's moments like this that most people probably won't think to capture
:)

Would it be reasonable to bail from work right now pick up DD 4 and cruise the 8 hrs drive right now down to DL for a long weekend? Of course, I'll call in sick at work, and school for DD for tomorrow...

We were there June 30, and it was really cute!. I always love to see the displays, except my family doesn't want to spend the time doing that! I'm going to have to train them better...

That is a great self portrait. I really like it.
In the morning the sun shines right into this side of the street, and there is a lot of reflection, so I tried at night to take the picture in hopes that the refelection would be less... hummmm....maybe late afternoon would be better?. :confused3

My shutter speed was too slow. Anyway, this was taken in January so the display has been up quite a while...
