hi all,

so we recently went to DLR in nov 2011 and we are planning on returning oct/nov 2012. on our way out everyday, we noticed all the cool pavers with names/dates on them, and we even noticed some had 2012 dates on them...

just wondering if anyone can shed some light on how to get your name on a disneyland paver - is there some kind of special eligibility etc, do you need to buy an annual pass or have some sort of celebration in the parks etc?

any help you could give to put our inquiring minds at rest would be helpful :)

They sold them for the last 6-7 years. Feb 28th, 2011 was the last day to buy one.

Close. Disneyland sold pavers for the "Walk of Magical Memories" for 11 years (2000-Feb., 28 2011).

Also, if you notice a section with a gold medallion in each paver, those were bought in 2005, Disneyland's 50th anniversary.

They sold for $150 (same price back in 2000), and for that you get a paver for 10 years plus a replica in either wood or acrylic to keep at home. :)

well, curses. i wish i had've discovered this a year ago.

thanks for the clarification, hugely appreciated :)

If it makes you feel any better, I believe the contract is that the pavers will be displayed for 10 years, I think it is? Not to say that Disney WILL remove them after 10 years (I don't think they plan to), but they could. It's not like a permanent thing.

I would have been interested in one but I believe you could basically only put your name, date, and maybe a place. I would've rather had a personalized message or something, even just a few words. Though I'm cheap and probably wouldn't have done it anyway. :flower3:

My kids got me one for my 50th birthday, I got one with all the kids' names on it, adn I got one for my granddaughter for her first Christmas (I mean, how many toys can a kid have???)

They are to be there for a minimum of 10 years. If the brick is removed prior to 10 years, your money is reimbursed.
