Has anyone had a Disneyland Park, Ca wedding? We are in the early stages on planning one and would love to hear about others experiences here. I have only read about the DFTW weddings on the other board in FLA. Thank you!!:bride:

Never had one (never been married yet), but I have them set up for weddings around the DLH. They have a garden area there between the Sierra and Bonita towers where the ceremonies/festivities take place.

Thank you:)
We are actually looking at the Rose Court Garden for our ceremony and the Grand Californian for our Reception. Ill keep everyone posted. Our first wedding consult is on June 4th. We are very excited!!:bride: :cheer2:

If you don't mind me asking, what is a ball park figure for a wedding in DL? Can you do it in the actual park?

Well first let me say that it is very expensive. We arent rich at all. But,,,,, I have wanted a Disney wedding since I decided I would get married to Kyle<3 my sweet heart.
Disney fantasy weddings start at $10,000. ( not a typo) This would be for a large wedding/ reception. Our speculative guest list right now is over 120 people. We have decided that we wont go over 30,000. which sounds insane but .... yes it is insane. am I just caught up in the magic, drunk on pixie dust?? maybe. Our first meeting with the wedding planner is june 4th. we want to wed on Oct. 31st. Halloween 2008. That is part of why it will be a lot, that is right around the beginning of the Holiday season, and on a friday, so those are both 2 things to consider when doing this. We want to have a harpist during the ceremony and a bagpiper also. We would like a brides cake and a grooms cake . The grooms cake done in nightmare before Christmas style and the brides cake in white butter cream with red roses , both will be red velvet. I think we will be having a lunch reception so we can all go into the park after and the kids can trick or treat during Mickeys Halloween Party. But, there ya go. That is what I know right now.And I will keep you all posted:bride:

sounds awesome! I would love to do it but we don't have enough people to invite to make it worth the cash. Good luck with the planning:)

I'm so jealous! I would love to renew our vows there, but it sounds like it would be too expensive to consider.

Disney weddings are so magical! We have watched some on tv and there is nothing that compares to them. At WDW there are so many themes and places and the food choices, man the list goes on and on. They are very very expensive, but worth every penny if you can afford it. One was about $10,000 and they went all the way up to $70,000...and that was all that we saw. Depending on when we have our next baby, we plan to go to WDW for our 10 year anniversary (another 5 years). Our kids won't be as young as they are now.

Congrats and YES keep us posted. What a magical experience that you will have forever and ever.

Call me crazy but I don't think $10K is that bad at all. This day and age weddings are really expensive. We did ours hear in little old Longview and it was nothing fabulous (8 years ago) and we came in at around 8-9K.

My husband and I got married in the Rose Garden 7 years ago on 7-2-2000 when the Rose Garden had just been made. We loved it. We had about 50 people and didn't spare a detail (Probably because my grandpa foot the bill :rotfl:) We had a blast and the wedding coordinator did practically everything. Our cake was three-tiered with mickey heads on the sides and white chocolate dipped strawberries loaded on top of each layer. Mickey and Minnie came in and danced with the guests and the food was great. For the ceremony we had the coach drop me off and take us away, that was my favorite part (and for a little sum of 1800.00). All in all the wedding and reception was about $16,000 and that was seven years ago. After all the rooms and incidentals it ranged around $40,000. I couldn't have had a better four days with my family and friends though. Bless my grandpas heart for doing it for us, and it was definitely a magical day. We are even thinking about having our wedding vows renewed there in three years. Have fun with your planning.

wow how wonderful tell us more and send us picture. I saw the carriage it was beautiful

My DD was married at the gazebo at the Paradise Pier Hotel in 2002. It was one of their intimate weddings (20 guests or fewer) and Disney did a beautiful job. They had a harpist for the ceremony and wedding cake and champagne was served next to the pool area after the ceremony. This cost about $2,500 back then. Unfortunately, they no longer do the weddings at Paradise pier.
