Disneyland Park closing at 5pm on Sept 18th?

Does anyone know why Disneyland Park is closing at 5pm on Thursday Sept 18th? I'm not complaining as we will be there all week but just trying to see if there is a special hard ticket event I am unaware of.

It's the only day in September (so far) posted to close at that early hour.

Found this on a travel site, so I have no idea if it's true, but it seems reasonable.

Disneyland park closes at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 18, for the Disney Legacy recognition ceremony for cast members. Both parks open at 9:00 a.m. that morning, and Disney California Adventure remains open until 9:00 p.m.

Thanks! not something I was hoping to see but at least now I know. Hopefully the parks will have very light crowds that day since the park is closing so early. Then we can be off to do something in the area.
