DLR is unknown to me, but I know WDW relatively well.

I will be flying into SNA on Wednesday, July 25th and land pretty late. Thinking of Ubering it to Fairfield Inn, right near DLR.

I would like to visit both parks on Thursday, July 26th. Solo! How early should I get to the gates?

I'm thinking of it as research for a family trip in the future. Any advice for me? Anything I need to be aware of for that date? I know it might be hot and crowded. I will splurge and park hop and get Maxpass (I will really have to research this) I can stay as late as the parks are open. I'm then ubering it to Irvine at the end of the night.

Thanks!

I would be at the gates about 30 minutes before park open. Since it’s a Thursday I would start at DCA as Disneyland will have EMH/MM (only in Tomorrowland/Fantasyland) that morning if the current EMH/MM pattern holds.

Thanks. Is the strategy to start in the opposite park of the one that has EMH b/c of crowds? What is MM?

A little, if you were going to head to Adventureland, critter country, or Frontierland to start then I would say going into Disneyland would be fine, but I wouldn’t go in and head straight to fantasyland or Tomorrowland after they’ve been open for the EMH/MM guests. EMH is for DLR’s 3 hotels guests and MM(Magic Morning) is one time early entry into Disneyland on days when EMH is for guests who purchase a 3 day or more ticket in advance.

Either 30 minutes before or thirty minutes after - then you'd probably be able to just walk in without much, or any of a line.
