Disneyland on Mother's Day?

I am thinking of taking my 2 year old to Disneyland in May. Right now, I think we'll fly out on the 10th and fly back home on the 15th. I'm planning to get a 3-day park hopper, but I'm not sure if we should go Sun/Mon/Tues, or Mon/Tues/Wed.

Does anyone have any advice? Specifically in regards to how crowds might be on Mother's Day? I haven't been to Disneyland since I was 10, so any advice you have will be greatly appreciated!

Sunday will be more crowded than a weekday just because more locals can go. All AP, except the Premium are blocked on Saturdays so the only weekend day AP can go is Sundays. And if you factor in that it's a holiday, that'll just make it a little more crowded. If I had the choice, I would do M/T/W. Definitely less crowds.

Another thing to consider is if you want to see Wishes. It'll be shown on Sunday, but not during the week. Same goes with the Electrical Parade.

Dizneydaz - thanks for your response. Really, Fantasmic is the only reason I'm even considering going on a Sunday. I'm just trying to decide if it is worth going with the crowds. But since we'll be there for 3 days, we'll still have a chance to see most things even if we do go on the Sunday.

Is California Adventure very busy on the weekends? Maybe if we do go on Sunday, we can spend the bulk of our day there and head over to DL a couple hours before Fantasmic.

That's a good idea. :goodvibes It's what we do when DL gets crowded. We usually start at DL, ride some rides, grab a few FP and then cross over to DCA when DL gets crowded. Then we ride rides, grab FP, etc. Later we'll head back over to DL to use our FP. You could definitely do it to see Fantasmic. Most of the locals will leave DL so they can go to work in the a.m. Mostly tourists will be left. I'm sure the last showing of Fantasmic won't be too crowded. (10:30)

Hope you have a great time! :wizard:
