Hello, only been to DL once about 15 years ago but been to DW several times. Wanting to stay around the 100.00 a night range and want a good neighbor hotel fairly close. Looking at the Alpine Inn or Cortona Inn. I think Alpine may be a little closer and about 5 bucks a night more, maybe lesser breakfast. What do you guys think. Thanks

I enjoyed the Alpine Inn.. very clean remodeled rooms, the staff was helpful and courteous. Breakfast if I recall consists of muffins , juice and maybe cereal. The walk was very double. I am staying at Kings Inn this go round the reviews are good and I received a prepay rate of 54.00 this though is for mid February.. may be a bit different for the time of year you are going. I am sure wherever you chose you will have a blast!!

For me personally it depends on whether I want to walk to the park or willing to use a shuttle.

If I want to walk to the park then its places like Dessert Inn and Suites, Best Western Plus, Del Sol Inn, Park Vue Inn and Grand Legacy at the park, all on Harbour Boulevard.

If I am willing to take a shuttle, then the decision is higher price hotel / motel with a free shuttle and or free breakfast or lower price hotel/ motel with no breakfast and pay for Anaheim Resort Transit shuttle.

Also I am a solo traveller so hotel amenities are not a high priority but I know many people look for places with amenities.

Haven’t stayed at the cortana, but the alpine inn is great for what it is, they keep the cost low by not offering a ton of extras, the rooms aren’t going to make you say “wow this is beautiful”...but will probably leave you with the impression that you got a good value. It’s one of those places where if what you want is a good price for a place your just going to use to sleep at night...it’s about as good as you’re likely to find.

The free breakfast is really more of a “snack while you walk to the park” kinda deal...not much, but then again they don’t add $10+ per night to cover a “free breakfast” like other places. The walk is basically the entire length of dca plus the width.

One of the nicer things is that unlike most of the other hotels/motels you never really cross any busy streets to walk to the park, and have a nearly identical length walk from downtown disney back to your hotel if you don’t feel like going through bag check.
