Hi! I am going to be at Disneyland over Labor Day to participate in the marathon. So my questions are.....

What would be the best place to stay? Off site it okay and preferable due to cost.
I did see the poll that had Ho-Jo and Candy Cane Inn as top choices. But distance wise I was wondering.

Who should I go thru to book? Myself, hotel sites themselves, or a TA?

So my real questions are where should I start in finding the best rates!!!

Thanks in advance!!1

Hi, Janet, here's a link to a map that shows you pretty clearly where all the close hotels are. You can click on them to go to their websites to check availablity and cost. http://www.geocities.com/ashpsyche/DisneylandLinkMap.html

You can get a %15 off at HoJo's by calling in-house reservations and mentioning that you are a member on the DIS boards.

HTH!

Hey fellow runner! I'm running the DL 1/2 as well. There are some hotel discounts available to 1/2 marathoners. After you register, a company called Get Travel Sports sends you an email with a breakdown of all the different discounted hotels/ticket prices.

I ended up not using them for our hotel though. I always have great luck with the Residence Inn. So that is where we are staying. It's walking distance to the park and the rate isn't bad. I like that they have free breakfast every morning there and kitchens in the rooms.
