Several months ago I had asked about long-term ECV rentals at Disneyland. I could not find any information about that, although there has been much information for the Orlando area. I contacted one of the Disneyland Hotel concierges and was put in contact with the following company:
B&R Medical Equipment, Inc
2520 South Fairview Street, #A-1
Santa Ana, CA 92704-5334
714-850-9326
FAX 850-9816
I don't know if they have a web site.
I contacted them and was quoted a total cost of $182.75 ($145 rental + $25 delivery + 12.75 tax) for my arrival on Saturday September 1 and departure on Monday September 10. My credit card was charged for the full amount the day prior to my arrival, which is standard.
Due to my weight I was given a "heavy duty" ECV. This had four wheels and a headlight, but no basket, although the agreement called for one. It did not have a separate charger, but one was built-in, with a cord hidden in the back. I do not know if it could be broken down, as I did not have a car and everything was fairly close by. I did not particularly care for it as it was not as easy to control as a three-wheeler, and not having a basket was a problem. Also I felt that it was fairly jerky, especially at low speeds and when coming to a stop from a low speed.
Another person in our group at Disneyana had contacted me in advance and I had told her of this firm. She was rented a three wheeler which did have a basket. I am not sure of what she was charged, but it was less than my cost.
I would rent from them again. However, I would specify that I wanted a three-wheeler and that it must have a basket.
