Here are my priorities! Btw if I haven't told you, you guys are my favorite people in the world ;)!

Here's what I want to do!
Fantasmic
Paint the Night
Fireworks
Meet Mickey, Thor and Captain America
Do the rides that aren't in Disney world and do the rides they have BETTER than Disney world!

California adventure:
World of color is my #1 priority to do to experience the best experience possible!
Meet any characters possible there

I got 2 days and I'm flying across the country to visit the mouse house!

When you say you have "two days" do you mean two full days, including two nights or just one night? If you only have one night, I don't think you'll be able to see all four of the nighttime shows given their schedules.

In terms of the DL shows, it's really a matter of where do you want to watch fireworks. If you want to watch from MS or near the hub, then it probably makes the most sense to watch the 8:50 pm parade (from somewhere near to where you want to watch the fireworks), the 9:30 pm fireworks and the 10:45 pm F! (you'll need a FP). If you don't mind watching fireworks from the F! viewing area, then you can do the 9:00 pm F! (you'll need a FP), the 9:30 pm fireworks, and the 11:00 pm parade. Either plan means a considerable amount of time will be spent waiting to watch the shows. There is a thread discussing various PtN/fireworks strategies that you might take a look at. In terms of WoC, check out the SuperThread for tips about viewing areas and when you have to get there (earlier is better).

In terms of the attractions, I would check out HydroGuy's DLR Guide for WDW Vets to get a sense of which rides are similar and different.

My last two trips I've found Mickey on Main Street at the park entrance mid-late morning. The characters are all decked out in their 60th finery right now too, great time to go! I don't know about the Marvel characters. Innoventions (which used to house the Marvel meet and greets) is now closed and I didn't see any Marvel characters during my days in the parks so you might want to look deeper into that.

Thor and Captain America were back out meeting guests under the old Peoplemover platform in Tommorrowland over the Memorial Day weekend. Guests get in one line and meet Captain America and then Thor (kind similar to how other fixed location character meet and greets are handled). I looked for June 22, and their hours are listed as 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.

I generally think Mickey is probably the easiest of the characters to find because there are several locations. As gottalovepluto mentioned, he's often out in Town Square (now in his 60th attire). He can also be found (intermittently) on Buena Vista Street (in his period-themed costume) or at his house in Toontown. If the Spring Carnival is still running, he might be there in his spring outfit too.

I have two full days to do each park thanks figment so much I really honestly love your help!

I wanna see Mickey in his normal costume!

So one full Disneyland day and one full California adventure day 2 male adults open to close parks.

Currently Mickey appears in Main St in his 60th tuxedo. On BVS he wears the news boy show outfit. Your only chance for a classic outfit would be Mickey's House. Sometimes the tuxedo is in the "movie barn" rotation.

You're welcome!

I think your best bet to see Mickey in a classic costume is at his house in Toontown. One thing to note about characters in DLR is that there are more "informal" meets than at WDW. So, as you wander the parks, keep your eyes open because you never know who you might meet (and when). In very broad terms, DLR has three types of meet and greets: the fixed locations (e.g., Princess Fantasy Faire and Pixie Hollow), the semi-fixed locations (e.g., Town Square or Buena Vista Street), and the random (e.g., walking through Fantasyland). The fixed locations are the "easiest" because they don't move and the characters tend to have a set schedule (e.g., they meet from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm). The semi-fixed locations means there are often characters there, but they may not always be there and you may not know who you'll see. The random characters are luck of the draw in terms of location and timing and character. The back of the Time Guide often has information about character locations and you can also inquire at Guest Services if you're looking for someone in particular.

In terms of the number of days in each park, it depends on whether you have park hoppers or not. If you do, then I would probably end up doing 1.25 days in DL and 0.75 days in DCA. Remember that on most days, DCA closes at 10:00 pm and DL closes at midnight, so if you have a hopper you can "hop" over to DL for the last two hours of the night. Although, if you do opt to see WoC, I would opt for the later show (10:15 pm), so that you can maximize your time in the park. I have heard that riding things like TSMM during WoC may help reduce your wait (not sure how well that works during the summer). You will need to get a FP and timing the FP to get the right show time (whether it is for WoC or F!) can be difficult. They distribute FPs for the first show first, followed by the second show.

Speaking of FPs...DLR still uses the "legacy" FP system (i.e, paper FP system). It's pretty similar to the version WDW used before they went to Magic Bands and FP+. It's worth noting that the FPs for character meet and greets (e.g., Olaf and Anna & Elsa), nighttime shows (e.g., F! and WoC), and the Frozen play at Fantasy Faire are not "connected" to the rest of the FP system. So, for example, you can get an FP for WoC and then immediately go get a FP for RSR. All attraction FP are linked to each other within the respective parks, but the two parks remain "disconnected" from each other. Meaning you can get an RSR FP and then immediately hop to DL and get a Space FP without having to wait for the time window to open or 2-hours to elapse (whichever comes first). It's something to keep in mind if you do plan to park hop. Also, note that DLR does enforce return times and there is no set grace period, so you should plan to return to the attraction within the time window printed on the FP. You can also try the Single Rider Lines (SRL) if you don't mind riding separately. There aren't a lot of SRL, but it's an option to consider.

If you want to ensure you have the center (best) area for WoC, buy one of the lunch or dinner WoC meals at AG, WCT or Carthay. Lunch is less than dinner and includes the same reserved fast pass. AG and WCT are said to be center section with CC being the higher view. @HydroGuy has a thread on the sections. I understand you can ask to move from the CC section to the center section, if you ask nicely. I saw the premiere show from center stage and I loved it. I am looking forward to the show this month.

I will be in park the 23rd to the 27th of this month.

It's my understanding the late show is less crowded as families with smaller kids are likely pushing the outer limits of the younger kids bedtimes for the first show. If there is a second show ( I just looked, they are scheduled for 9:00 and 10:15 on 6/22) it should have fewer people.

I am BEYOND excited for my trip as someone who has max out their Disney world stays.

I will be taking all the photo pass pictures I can!
