:cool1: So far, I've only booked the flight $99 Westjet sale.

Where to stay, and what to do can't wait to plan. I must checkout the Disneyland board.

You'll love it-but it definitely is different to WDW. We went in November, stayed at Staybridge Suites (not walking distance but very short drive). We did Disneyland + Aquarium of the Pacific, Hollywood & Santa Monica, SeaWorld, and San Diego Zoo. Let me know if I can help at all.

It is reasonably priced to stay onsite right now. We booked room only for an upcoming trip at GCH. They have 5 for 3 and up to 40% off rooms right now. WOC and Summer Nightastic opens June 11 and we arrive the 13th so we get to see it!:cool1:

I would stay at one of the three DL hotels if a good discount applied to your dates. If not, there are some really decent hotels within walking distance of the park. We stayed at the Howard Johnsons which was very clean, comfortable, had a fridge and microwave in the room and a view of the theme park from the balcony. If you choose one of the offsite hotels I would recommend choosing one that's walking distance to the park. It was so convenient to be able to walk back to our room in the afternoon, have a swim and change clothes for the evening. There are restaurants along the way also so we didn't always have to eat park food.

$99 is a great rate from WestJet. Lucky you!

We like to stay at any of the hotels along the S. Harbor Blvd strip. We really liked the Hilton Garden Inn. It's in a Hilton triplex along with the Embassy Suites South and Hampton Inn and Suites, and depending on your budget, any of those 3 hotels are good choices. It's a short 5-min drive away, and if you don't want to drive, the ART stops in front of the Embassy Suites. We got a really good rate one time at the HGI - $90 for bed and breakfast. It's good to get a hotel with a full hot breakfast included - gets you out the door and to the parks faster.

Buy at least one hopper pass from CAA. It gives you free daily parking in the DL lot (a savings of $14/day). (We got our other hoppers from Airmiles.)

Target is a short drive away on S. Harbor and Chapman, where you can get your bottled water and snacks. Next door to Target is a Dollar Store, where you can buy Disney-themed notebooks, pens, pencils and other souvenirs for cheap.

We stayed at HoJos twice - the Dis threads for DL are awesome! You 'll have a GREAT time!:wizard:
