Disneyland Hours during ToT Party

I haven't been in October in a couple of years and I can't remember. Typically, does Disneyland stay open later on nights when there is a party over at DCA? Particularly on a Thursday night? My DMIL is trying to decide if they want to go to the parks on the day we arrive, but won't if they close pretty early since we won't arrive till 2. Crossing my fingers for yes, since DH and I probably won't want to ditch them (we have AP's so no big deal for us).

I know the hours aren't posted yet, just looking for general past experience.

Yes, I believe they do extend DLs hours when DCA has the ToT party.

I looked at last years hours on MousePlanet and DL still closed at 8 on ToT party nights.

I think that this year, some of us were assuming that DL may stay open later than it normally would during that season because of the "nightly" Halloween fireworks that are going to happen. It would seem pointless to close the park early if they are doing nightly fireworks (which I assume were very costly for DLR), so hopefully they will extend the hours a bit.

Last year we arrived on a Thursday night (10/2) and DL was closing 'early' that night. But I could have sworn that the next night, which was the first night of the TOTP, DL stayed open later. I could be wrong, but that's what I thought. Maybe it just seemed later!

Yes it was open later because it was a Friday.

Well we last went in 07 and I think it was a Friday so maybe that's what I'm remembering. lol

Everybody above is right..... In looking at the calendar from years in the past, DL closed at 8 p.m. on the weekdays (regular closing time on weekdays during off-season), even on TOT nights, so no extended hours there. On the weekends, DL closed at midnight with or without TOT parties on those nights.

It will interesting how the fireworks schedule will influence the park hours at Disneyland. I am hoping to see them when we go in Oct.

Thanks for all the help. I guess I'll just pass the information along to DMIL and let her make up her mind. But whatever they choose will apparently not affect us. DH informed me yesterday that he has no problem ditching his parents to go to the parks.

His exact quote? "Heck yeah we'll ditch them. They can go get dinner at that weird place." He was referring to the Garden Walk. He's never been there, so I don't know why he thinks it's weird.

LOL Garden Walk isn't weird....how funny. Let him know there are a lot of good places to eat there, maybe he'll change his mind and want to try it.
