What tips would you have for staying at the DL Hotel.. it'll be our first time staying there.... What are the rooms like?? Do they have balconys?? Frigs??? What are the grounds like?? Any tips for getting around or things that we must see or do?? Thanks!

call now and ask for autograph pics for the people in your room! They will be waiting for you when you check in... we got real cool black and white pics of Mickey and the gang :)

my kids loved the remote control boats by the pool area - can't think of the name - but take plenty of change!

These are a few of our pictures from our last trip to Disneyland of the grounds of the DLH. Yes they have Fridges, they are small dorm size ones. No microwave. The rooms are good sized, because it is an older hotel. If you like Pepsi products I suggest you bring your own, they do not sell them anywhere at the resort. Calling them "balconies" is generous. Have a wonderful trip.:goodvibes

Great pictures kaoden39!!

We stayed here in Sept. '06 for the 1st time. We also requested a fridge and it was a dorm sized one. The balcony isn't a true balcony.......I think it's maybe 8-10 inches deep. Not really sure what the purpose is of them being that small??? I can't remember the name of the tower we stayed in but it was the one that faced DTD. Our room overlooked DTD and DCA. Beautiful view!!!

Compass Bookstore has great coffee, teas, etc. It is the 1st store in DTD as you are leaving the hotel and walking towards the parks. We stopped there frequently!

Also, I ordered Mickey Shortbread cookies and Mickey Rice Krispy treats and had them delivered to our room one night while we were at dinner. I ordered 12 of them a la carte at $2.00 each, so it came to a total of $24 (plus tax & delivery fee). I picked up some individual milks at the bookstore so we were able to have cookies & milk before bed one night! The kids thought it was great!!! (If I could figure out how to post pics of them, I would)

Our kids played a little with the remote control boats......but we ran out of change! :sad2: The pool area was really neat. Our kids got in but the water was quite chilly (even in Sept which is typically warm weather). The grounds are very beautiful to walk around with the waterfalls, pool area and the gazebo. In fact, in 2003, my brother got married over at the gazebo!

We ate at Goofy's Kitchen on the day we went home. We packed up our bags, went down to breakfast, then loaded up the car and headed home. It was a nice end to our trip as we weren't going into the parks that day.

That's all I can think of now..........:upsidedow

We just got back from the DLH and had a great time...We did early check in an asked for the dreams tower facing DTD and was told they had 3rd floor available so we said yes…Then as the day went on DH decided to go over and talk to them again and texted me a picture from the 9th floor dreams tower…This was around noon and we had our room 2475 right by the elevator also…The rooms are very nice sized we asked for a roll away and extra pillows towels and blankets and got all no problem….We easily fit the roll away in room with no problem plus the pack and play between the beds…Only complaint is the refrigerator is very small and ours did not cool well did not even freeze anything…We were glad we spent the 30 bucks on our 5 day cooler and just topped it off with ice from the hotel…All cm’s we dealt with were very nice also…oh also you have to carry all your stuff or use a bell man they will not let you use the carts…The grounds are very nice they feed the Koi at 930 on Tuesdays and Thursdays if you are there…The pool was on the chilly side but it was rainy when we were there and I had been in the very nice Jacuzzi first and if you go to the back side of t there are jets at feet level that feel really nice on the feet…We were suppose to leave on Wednesday and decided to stay another night and they let us keep the room no problem it was really cool we were very happy and will stay there again…I am attaching the link for the pictures we took of the hotel we went a little crazy warning you now… LOL…http://s20.photobucket.com/albums/b241/coreybdgr/Disney 2009/
