I’ve been seeing lots of posts showing the crazy lines getting through security on harbour Blvd. Does anyone have any info on the security lines from Disneyland hotel to downtown Disney? We will be there for spring break. Thanks.

Can’t speak to current crowds, but our last trip was during spring break and we stayed at the DLH and never experienced long lines at security. We were using EMH though so regular opening may be different?

We used this entrance three days this week. It took maybe 5min each time to get in. It was extremely easy. We hit the security line one hour and half before open today arch day. Took about 20-25 min to get into the park with the lines almost hitting the dca gates.

We got bg three of the days we tried for one as well. (38 and got 4 twice )

We stayed at DLH for the opening weekend of RotR. The lines were never bad for us, but we did go to the parks very early.

Getting through security wasn’t a problem when we were there a week ago. Friday the 21st was the only day we were able to go before park opening and it had the longest line but I was still able to get in line for harbor side security at about 7:25-7:30 and got into DL gate at 7:50 so 20-25 min to do both security AND park turnstile lines was my experience.

The other two park days we arrived after park opening and security was even faster.

We were there in January on a weekend and had no lines at all ever going from the DLH!

If you want to make sure you are through the gates by park opening, show up at the parking structure/lot by 6 AM if you are parking.

We typically stay at the DLH, but due to a change in schedule wound up staying out on the Harbour side for a day before moving to the DLH. In our experience, the security lines were night and day. They were awful on the Harbor side. We didn't even arrive at opening. We got into town and hit the park probably around noon, and were in a security line on the Harbor side for well over half an hour. We have never stood in a line that long from the DLH side. I can't recall ever standing in line for over 10 minutes on that side and it is usually less. Now, we have not done DLR in the morning since ROTR has opened, so I don't know how that changes things.

In October lines have never been bad. I haven't been able to drag myself out for rope drop (I'm usually in the park till close and then maybe a drink or two after that, so I need sleep sometime :P).

I figure with ROTR lines will be different because people probably will all be hitting for rope drop instead of spread out over an hour or two. I really wish staying on property got you a boarding group between like 9am and 1pm or something. It would be so nice when dropping $400+ for a room to get a little perk like that!
