After several visits to DisneyWorld, I am planning to visit Disneyland later this year. Has anyone had any experience of booking a cash and points booking there? i.e. two nights booked on points and then two cash nights. Just wondered if it was as simple as doing it for the DVC resorts at DisneyWorld where you can join the reservations together.

Many thanks

Hannah

I don't believe that MS can book cash reservations at any of the DL resorts. Ask MS when you call to book the points reservations to be sure.

Perhaps you can ask the DL reservationist to cross reference your DVC reservation and add a request that you do not have to change rooms. Mention it again when you check in - I would bet that the DL resort would do their best to avoid a room change for you.

Best wishes -

Thanks Carol. It is the room change I am trying to avoid and I will do what you have suggested.

Hannah,

Have you been to Disneyland before?

We have been several times and have never stayed in a Disney hotel. Unlike WDW, there is no added value to staying with Disney in Anaheim.

You might find this helpful. We usually stay at the Fairfield Inn. We have paid as little as $53/night for a room that could sleep 5 or 6. Sure, it's not the Grand Californian, but it's not $350/night either.
