Disneyland hotel parking fees? Rental or transfer?

Hi,

We are going to Disneyland for the first time in April for 8 nights and we plan to rent a car from the ONT airport. Does anyone know if the Disneyland Hotel charges parking fees on top of the room rate? The only thing we might do besides DL and DCA would be Universal studios which I think there are shuttles to and from at DLH. We are trying to decide if it is cheaper to rent a car, pay for parking fees at DLH and USH, or just get transfers to/from everywhere....

I almost certain that there is a resort fee and that this covers the parking fee as well as other ammenities.

I last stayed at DLH in 1999. There was no parking fee. It was included in the hotel room rate. It was wonderful to go up the ramp on the side of the hotel and park on the roof. There were escalators from the roof down to where the meeting rooms were and I think it ends up by Goofy's kitchen. Was very convinient. Others have mentioned that food on property can be costly so if you rent a car you can go off property and eat.

If you're staying with a package (hotel/park tickets), parking is already included. If you are just getting a room rate, then Disney adds a resort fee, which includes parking, newspaper, use of the fitness center... the resort fee this year is $9.20/night, including tax, and $11.50/night next year, including tax. You'll have to pay the resort fee whether or not you have a car.

Check out mousesaver.com. Mary has a lot of info. There's a Target down the street on Harbor I think. It's convinient if you need it and you'll have a car. I forgot about the newpaper. My husband really enjoyed that. I guesw we payed a resort fee without knowing it.
