Hi all!

I am going to Disneyland Paris for the first time this November and am staying at the Disneyland Hotel! So excited! I am a frequent WDW go-er and this is my first international park. I had a few questions about the Disneyland Hotel:

1. We are getting 2 rooms, are there any adjoining doors?
2. Any room requests recommendations? We are staying in a superior room (no terrace).
3. Do the rooms have refrigerators that could keep something like milk cold enough?

Thanks in advance!

Since it was recently refurbished, the Disneyland Hotel rooms do now have coolers (not full fridges) which are very much like the ones in many WDW resorts now, which will keep drinks fairly cool although not ice cold.

One thing to note is that in France, milk is generally UHT (ultra-high temperature processed) which means it is long-life and does not need to be stored at as cold a temperature as the milk you get in the US or the UK, but it does also have a bit of an aftertaste for those not used to it (personally I really don't like it). If you do want milk that tastes more like what you are used to, you'll need to go to a large supermarket (one like Auchan in Val D'Europe - smaller ones probably won't do it) and look for "lait frais".

Wow, thank you for the information! I had no idea about the milk being different in France! We are planning to stop by the Auchan in Val D'Europe, so I will definitely look for milk there.

Something else I noticed. In France they do not refrigerate eggs. At every grocery store they just had eggs stacked on the shelves. Seemed very weird to this American that eggs would not be in a cooler?

This is normal in the UK and EU countries. Eggs are processed differently.

In America, they are washed which removes the natural coating and shortens the shelf life. Therefore they need to be stored in the fridge.

In UK and EU countries they are not washed and retain the natural coating which means they do not need to be stored in the fridge.

Theres a lot more differences between UK / EU food standards and American food standards. Generally speaking, the majority of artificial additives, colours, preservatives and many processing methods allowed by America FDA are banned in UK and EU countries.

Where do you stand on condiments, in rhe fridge or not in the fridge? Got in a discussion once that I do not refrigerate my ketchup. But apparently people in Europe are dividend about this 😉
