Do any of the DLH rooms have bathrooms where the sink is separate from the toilet and shower...meaning there is a door between them? If so which tower? And how do you go about requesting one of these?

TIA

I don't think any of the rooms are like that, at least I have never stayed in one like that, before or after the remodel.

Why do you want one of those? On rooms with one bathroom, you can only have so many people staying there. Does your DH like to "read the paper"? :)

And actually I miswrote, the toilet is separate, but not the shower. The shower and sink are in the main part and the toilet has a door between.

We stayed in a remodeled room in the tower closest to downtown Disney (can't remember what they've named it now) 2 years ago. The bathroom had two sinks. The toilet was in it's own tiny space with a door that closed for privacy. I believe the shower was in a separately closed off space as well. We had a Disney/DtD view room with two queen beds and no daybed, can't remember what floor we were on, maybe somewhere between the fourth and seventh (?).

We stayed in the building with the lobby and the toilet was in it's own separate room. Facing the sink and mirror you had the toilet on the left and the tub/shower on the right.

We have had DH rooms with several diffrent floor plans.
(1) In one if you were facing the entry door, a large closet and large sink/mirror were on the left of doorway. In a seperate room on the right was a bath/shower and toilet.
(2) upon entering the washroom, the double sink/mirror was in middle of room with shower on left, through door on right was the toilet.
(3) when entering washroom, double sink was on left with toilet against the back wall, and shower on the right.
All were roomy and nicely decorated with the little disney decorations to remind you of where you were....:cool1:

I dont recall any of those but its been about 8 years since I was last at DLH

We stayed in the Frontierland Tower earlier this year and the sink was separate from the toilet/shower room.

Thanks for all the responses I will call and ask/request one like this. My 90 year old mother will be with us and she can be quite slow so it would be nice to have them separate!

Last month I stayed in room 2151 on the 3rd floor of Adventure Tower. It was a King room, only one bed so wouldn't work for you with the 3 people it sounds like you have, but it had the sink separate from the toilet and tub/shower.
My DSis and family had room 2149 (adjoining), queen/queen, that room had sink/tub/shower in one room and toilet separated from them by a door.

Sounds like there are several room layouts so hopefully when you call they have the one you need.
I thought the rooms were very nice and beds very comfortable.

Have fun! :thumbsup2

We use to be always placed in the Frontier Tower (Bonita, for you old timers) because we had 3 kids and these were the biggest rooms and had the kind of set up you are describing.

The problem I have had with Disneyland Resort properties over the years (we use to stay at least twice a year there, mainly at DLH)--is that it didn't matter what I called ahead to request as far as towers or views--they would put us any where they pleased! We always paid for an upgraded view (so it wasn't like we were asking for a Theme park view, when we paid for standard) but they didn't really ever honor our requests. I still continue to try, though--but have now moved on to staying at other hotels (no longer DRH). It just got really old, and good customer service should be a priority for them.

So good luck with your request, is what I am saying.;)

Yes, I have had one of those, it was in the formerly called Sierra Tower (can't remember the tower name now, its the one closest to DTD). It had a DTD view but it was a lower one.

We have stayed there many times and the variety of bathroom set ups is kind of wacky!

We always try to get rooms where the toilet is separate from the other facilities. Put a few people in one room and it is just necessary! Besides, what if someone has to go to the bathroom while someone is in the shower? Like I said, this is just necessary as far as we're concerned.

:thumbsup2 I totally agree!
