Just wondering if anyone has booked at Disneyland Hong Kong, wanted to know if the Disneyland Hotel, is worth the extra points.

Also wanted to know if I need to purchase one-time use points for the trip, can I do that for this booking.

We visited Disneyland Hong Kong last summer, but we stayed in downtown Hong Kong. However, we did visit the Disneyland Hotel (or one of the Disney hotels - i can't remember which one) and had dinner at Chef Mickey's (the characters are not there though, i chose the wrong venue :sad2:), and it was quite nice. It was a five star hotel (from what i saw) and the staff was over the top helpful and friendly, and the food fantastic!

I know i didn't really answer your question exactly .... sorry ... but hope i helped a little.

Like Imchatti, I visited both hotels when in Hong Kong, but stayed in Hong Kong.
Both hotels were very nice. The Disneyland hotel reminded me of the Grand Floridian, and is closer to the park entrance than Disney's Hollywood Hotel.

We have stayed in both hotels in HK Disneyland. The Disney Hollywood Hotel is comparable to the Disney Paradise Pier Hotel in Anaheim, while the HK Disneyland Hotel is comparable to the Grand Floridian. Your reservation through DVC comes with park tickets, which is a big plus. I highly recommend the Enchanted Garden's character breakfast at the HK Disneyland Hotel. We did the 7:00 am sitting back in December, went for a walk at the maze afterward, hopped on to the shuttle bus and made the 10:00am park opening just fine.

We stayed at the Hollywood hotel and it was nice but the HK Disneyland hotel looked much nicer. The Hollywood hotel is themed like California in the 50's. The Hollywood Hotel rooms were the size of typical hotel rooms in the USA which is unusual for Asian hotels as the majority of Asian hotel rooms are very small. Enjoy your trip. Hong Kong is great!

I have stayed at both hong kong disneyland hotel and hollywood studio hotel. hong kong disneyland hotel is better but more costly. It is probably cheaper to pay out of pocket for a stay than pay with point. these hotels often have promotion that if you stay at the hotel, you get a 2-day ticket for the price of one. If one of your party is a senior, you can come out ahead by buying a senior annual pass which is about $25 more than a 1 day pass; you can get to save 35% to 50% off the rack hotel price. I had paid $120 us for a night at the hong kong disneyland hotel and $80 for the hollywood studio with the annual pass discount. you can check out the current hotel promotion at www.hongkongdisneyland.com.
