Disneyland hits Capacity 12/25/14

Just pulled into the park and received a piece of paper saying the following:

Disneyland Park is extremely busy today and it has become necessary to temporarily stop admitting additional guests into Disneyland Park.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause; however, Disney California Adventure Park remains available for your enjoyment at this time.


The parks are SUPER busy today.

Wow, no surprise but glad we didn't go today. I was trying to decide between this past Monday or today and luckily we chose Monday! Crowded but manageable.

Hahahaha, this is one of the few times I have ever thought, "I sure am glad that I'm NOT at Disneyland today!"

We were there Christmas Day 2011. I said never again.

We went in 2008. Horrid. But that was back when ca was a ghost town so we went over there and had a grand time.

I went to Disneyland over Christmas ten years ago. NEVER AGAIN!!!!! I've been to DL during most summers, and have NEVER seen it as bad as I did at Christmas. Yesterday the thousands of local AP holders must have brought all their out of town visitors.

All AP holders except for Premium and Premier are blocked right now, so the AP holders may not be the sole cause of the big crowds -- although I suspected that some of the PAP holders would head to DLR for the sneak peek of the Frozen stuff.

This is generally the time when most tourists/out of town visitors can head to DLR, as lots of folks are on some sort of break from work and/or school... but, throw in the sneak peek of Frozen Fun just in time for Christmas week and New Year's week, and you have a recipe for huge crowds, when the crowds would have already been bountiful enough without the Frozen Fun element added into the mix.

My family has Premier APs and we'd never go at this time!! Why? When its THIS crowded, when we can go at any other time of year when its not so bad. Too crazy for us!

I've heard via Twitter that the parks are at capacity right now - level 3 restricted, whatever that is. I know that both Rose Bowl teams are presently at DCA.

I'd say that out of town visitors & non-AP holders get to take the blame this time. Locals & APs can go anytime (and 3/4 APs are blocked), so why on earth would they go now?

I was there 21-22nd and it was crazy. Never again. I became a pass holder and can now go whenever. Was down there for Hs state football game on the 19th which drawls lots of crowds also from NorCal.
