Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon Weekend 2025 (September 4-7)

Phew! Excited for official dates! Figured it would be the same weekend as this year, but booked a couple VGC weekends just in case!

Same! Though with it being so hot, multi lane pass almost became premier pass, I was able to lightning lane for every ride that I ride- (I am too old now for Matterhorn or incredicoaster) but I am pretty sure I could have got those. and I was able to rope drop either cars or rise. The heat while very unfun made lightning lane really almost unnecessary I thought.

I am already anxious about registration!! I have an all-black Jafar costume I was going to wear this year, but opted out of due to the heat I hope will be cool enough to wear.

Yeah just as a heads up if your not familiar with the area. Don't count on it not being hot. This has always been infamously hot race weekend even going back to when it was generic Disneyland Half weekend. Even when its not been race weekend its been hot. If you want good weather your better sticking with the January races though that's not a guarantee as always.

Kind of surprised by the registration date its a bit earlier than normal considering usually reg tends to happen 8-9 months out from the races. Which would put us again in Jan-Feb. I guess because with how crazy January/February is now for the company they decided to do it ahead of the next weekends to minimize complaining about trying to register right after another weekend.

Also might be trying to get an adantage on the Christmas rush. Which actually would be kind of smart.

Once they update the website with registration details for 2025 it’ll be there. It’s still set to 2024 right now.

Yeah it should be all at once, since registration for CrD is later this month.

I'm interested to see how much they change the themes. I hope they change them up, with the exception of Chip and Dale. I would love to see Disneyland give them a race every year.

The Halloween theme is great, but I think they're limiting themselves if they only keep recycling the themes they did this year.

Themes are out! They’re going full villain weekend this next year. I cannot emphasize how giddy having Pain and Panic for the challenge makes me.

I’m just estatic since last time I did a race with Villains as a theme (2015) I didn’t stop for photos. I can get away with stopping this time.

Also realizing that they’ve done villains on the big anniversaries (60th and 70th)

I don’t think they really moved it forward as much as it reflects where Labor Day falls. I suspect this will become like Marathon weekend where when the race is depends on when the holidays fall. And Labor Day falls on Sep 1. So it’s still a week after it

POT deadline is April 1 btw. Could be better but at least a decent amount of time to plan around early 2025 races.

Also if Disney was smart about this they could make a specific challenge medal since they have Hercules on both coasts this year…like I doubt they’ll do it since one is a 10k but it’s certainly an idea especially since Springtime Challenge is still open

I was registered for this past Halloween weekend but missed out due to injury. Was thinking I’d probably be done with rundisney for awhile and then they pulled this and I’m gonna try for all 3 races. This has been the first weekend since I started following rundisney where I’ve really loved all the themes
