Hi, other than the Nightmare B4 X-Mas revamp does anyone know if Disneyland (CA) does anything special for Halloween Day (Oct. 31st)? Gonna finally go on Halloween and it would be neat if they do, thanks for any info!

DL doesn't do anything to speak of, AFAIK. Around these parts Knott's owns the Halloween period with their Halloween Haunt, effectively renaming the place to Knott's Scary Farm. At this point it might be hard to get a ticket for the 31st, but they run their event on many nights in October, so if you're interested, here's a link for more info...

One caveat - it's not for small kids, as it is meant to be scary !

19Pez76,

We went on halloween day about 6-years ago. Halloween fell on a Saturday that year. The crowds were the lightest that I have ever seen on a Saturday.

I think it is a great time to go because all the other parks (mentioned by jlmar and also Universal had something too) in the area are pulling the rowdy crowds.

However, it was kind of odd to know that it was halloween and there was no trick-or-treating. Now that I have kids, I don't know how they would deal with missing out on that part of the holiday.

they do have Trick-Or-Treating at the Disneyland Hotels, and at some of Downtown Disney. It is not really advertised, but if you ask at the Hotels they should be able to help you. We went in 2002 and had a blast. My little ones played games at the GC and had fun getting autographes from the Villians that were in the park on that day.
Hope that helps...

Gonna be there from tomorrow (all being well). Going for my sis's 30th birthday which is halloween so we are looking forward to enjoying the parks on that day. Might be quite nice if they aren't too crowded. Going to eat a storyteller's in the morning and our agent organised a nice happy birthday singing for sis that she doesn't yet know about. hehee, should be so embarrassing for her. Maybe see some of you there!
