You all seem experienced with going to DL in September. I see the fireworks are now on the schedule every night at 8:35.Does that sound about right? The rest of the schedule is still TBA so I'm a little nervous about the accuracy and I'm making dining reservations. I'd hate to miss the fireworks.

That'll be for mid week, b/c Fri-Sun will be open until either 11 or 12 so the fireworks will be at going off at 9:30 and Paint the Night Parade going at 8:50 and 10:45 based on the schedule for the Sun before, if that helps. The downside is that b/c of the new fireworks and parade, people are lining up crazy early, like mid-afternoon crazy, at least along Main St. There are other place like by IASW and by Fantasmic where people aren't lining up too early, just something to keep in mind. I would say for reservations, go earlier rather than later to be safe. I did that for when I go in 2 weeks, dinner at 5:15 and then heading over to check out the crowds when I'm done around 6:30 or so.

I would love to meet some of you folks but since it falls on Labor Day weekend and I have only a deluxe AP, the only day I will be in the parks is Friday

If it helps at all, we usually do our small meet-ups at the Disneyland Hotel, at Trader Sams/Tangaroa Terrace. There are many options that don't include actual park admittance

I just saw the medals and I'm soooo excited! The Half Marathon medal is legit! Also, put me down, tentatively, for another DIS meet up. I'd like to meet up, but depending on work schedule and other stuff, it'll probably be a last minute decision for me.

I know the feeling! Thankfully I pretty much know I'll be available until 3:30. I get to make one of my work schedules so I can plan that one in advance, and barring something really crazy happening, I only ever close my area. So even though I'm not running, if we can get something together I plan to say hi to anyone i can.

What time should I plan on arriving into the parking structure for the 5K on Friday? I think the race starts at 530, so maybe get there at 430?

I think 4:30 should be fine. That gives you plenty of time to walk over to the start and w/ way less people than for the 1/2 it won't be as congested.

Just finished up my registration and paid. So it's official!! I actually get to go add myself to the runner list.

I'm assuming this means I'm gonna be in the back corral, but I'm just to excited to get that new medal.

Hello all, late to this thread, but soon to be DW and I will be out during the Half Marathon. Both running the 5K in Tron outfits, then I will will follow up with DDD. Look forward to seeing everyone out on the road!

Does anyone know what the "pace" car is set at for the slower/injured runners?

They have "Balloon Ladies" that walk at 16 min/mile. They periodically send a bus or van to pick up anyone behind them. They are the last ones to cross the start line.
