I know that at WDW there are lots of places for character dinners, breakfasts etc. Any suggestions as to what might be a nice place at DL to perhaps make a reservation? Not fancy, just for 2 adults, not necessarily with characters, just someplace to get a great meal. Just as an example, we love eating at the Rose & Crown at epcot, no characters, but great eats! Any help appreciated.

Maybe you have a link to a site that lists some interesting dining experiences. Thanks so much.

A must eat for Disneyland is the Pirates of the Caribbean Rest. Great atmospher (you get to watch people getting on and off ride) and even better food. It's recommended that you get reservations as stand-by line can get quite long. Just go there first thing when you get to the park and make a ressie.

great, and thanks for the hint! I will give it a try. Our trip is in late Oct. so others have said we should have less crowds to worry with. I never underestimate the time of year that we travel though, seems less crowded times are becoming more popular!

Thanks again:)

The restaurant mentioned above is called Blue Bayou, and is one of only 2 table-service restaurants in DL. Great atmosphere and food!

If you are staying at one of the DL Hotels, you can make reservations up to 30 days in advance. Otherwise it's same-day ressies only, by going to the kiosk outside the restaurant, or City Hall.

Some of the best restaurants are now at California Adventure. Try the Terrace, the Vineyard Room or Avalon Cove and you won't be disappointed. :)

If you do the Blue Bayou and want to save some cash try it for lunch. Many same items, less expense!Have fun, we are going Oct18-22nd staying at Grand Cal!I'll be damned if anyone will keep me from my happy place!I hope it doesnt seem disrespectful, but I will not give into the fear they so want to establish on us all.

Thanks again for all the comments! I would like to try them all!

We too will be there around Oct. 24th. I agree, it seems hard to "go on with life" while so many are suffering, but that is exactly what we need to do! Show them we are proud and they will not take our liberties away from us. We will prevail in this tragedy.
