Are there any news about when the points system will be available? When are they offering points reservations?

If you are talking about the Villas, they will not open until Fall 2009. The points chart has not been released for this yet. You can book a standard hotel room there on points. Member services has that information.

If anyone has the info, please post. I'm interested in renting points from a member for the GC'ian in early 2009 (for regular rooms, not the Villas).

Depending on when you are wanting to stay at the GCH, they may have an AP rate and this might be a cheaper option than renting points. The DLR boards will have more information about AP rates.

Edited to add that you need to provide dates and room type you are looking for such as standard or concierge, theme park or standard view to get accurate point values if they have been released yet.

That's too bad, I was planning a stay at the Grand Californian Villas next summer. Oh well.

The construction on the exteriors isn't anywhere near completion yet. There are some really great view of it from the firetowers in the Expedition Trail play area, Mulholland Madness, and of course from the Sun Wheel (soon to be the Mickey Wheel).

When we looked at it the other week, the visual progress made us wonder if they were even going to make the Fall 2009 deadline. You know they will though. They need to have those open before the peak 2009 Christmas season.
