Motel 6 properties do allow pets, like Spidey stated. It is important though to call the property directly to make sure that it does. The Motel 6 that is near Dl. does accept them.
Here is a link for many properties that do accept pets:
If you go to www.anaheimoc.org they have an option to sort hotels by amenities and one of the options is pets.
Also, according to the Birnbaum's Guide (I have the 2007 copy) the Anaheim Marriot will take pets. They charge a fee per pet($50 in 2007) but allow you to keep the pet in the room unattended while you are in the parks.
I know that the Anaheim Plaza Hotel allows you to bring pets. They charge A non-refundable pet fee of $10.00 per night plus 15% tax is added to all Pet rooms. Plus you have to be willing to stay in a smoking room. They have their policy on their website www.anaheimplazahotel.com. We have stayed here with our dog before when my father-in-law backed out at the last minute of watching our dog for Christmas. I don't know if we got lucky or what but our room did not smell at all of cigerette smoke. It's also within walking distance of the parks. Good luck!!
Just booked a room at the Anaheim Plaza Hotel, they charge quite a few fees including a daily parking fee.. Which seems silly but hey I get to bring my dog. THANKS GUYS!
We always travel with our small dog and that always determines where we stay. Usually for Disneyland, it's the Sheraton on Disneyland Drive. Not really walking distance, though it could be done, but they have their own shuttles which are very reliable and do not stop at any other hotels along the way. Love it there!!!
This last trip, we stayed at the Extended Stay Hotel on Clementine and it worked very well too. They use the ART shuttles, but we walked instead.
Both were wonderful about us having our dog!
The Residence Inn also allows dogs and is right next door to the Extended Stay. Were going to stay there, but it was booked.
I was wondering if any one that travels with their pets ever leave them in the room for the day? Unless of course it goes strictly against policy.

I always ask before I stay at any hotel or motel do you allow dogs? We are all allergic and the last thing we need is a pet who was there last. Sorry but its hard on us who are severely allergic to go any where a dog or cat has been. my son is so bad he ends up in the hospital when people sneak them in and we are the next person in.
