My family and I went to Disneyland for two days this past weekend (12/16-12/17), I thought I would try making a food report out of the trip
. It's not WDW, but it is still disney food!! There were four of us, my mother, two sisters, and myself. This is my first food/trip report, I hope the pictures show up okay..
Drove up to an offsite hotel, the Park Inn, on Harbor Blvd. From the hotel it was only about a five minute walk to Disneyland, very close. After walking around Disneyland for a while, we stopped at Riverbelle terrace in Frontierland. The line was just a little out the door, but it moved quickly. My mom saved a table while we were in line.
Here is the outside seating area:

And the inside:

I ordered the salmon sandwhich. It was salmon with bbq sauce on it on some bread. It came with cole slaw and grapes. I took the salmon off the bread and wiped the bbq sauce off, so I cant comment on what it tasted like in sandwhich form, but the salmon was quite delicious actually!! I was very surprised as I thought ordering salmon from a counter service would be a mistake. Highly recommend it though! I had a few bites of the coleslaw, it was nothing special.

My mother had the 1/2 sandwhich with soup. She liked the soup and thought the sandwhich was okay.

My sister jenny ordered from the kids meal, she had a PBJ sandwhich, with no crust shaped like mickey. It came with cornchips also shaped like mickey and a small bag of jello snacks. Too cute!! She liked it, said it was just like any regular old pbj sandwhich.

My sister lisa had the BBQ platter came with some bbq chicken and ribs I think. Also came with beans, corn on the cobb, and corn bread. She liked it but didnt rave about it. It looked like you got a lot of food for your money though.

They also all ordered a strawberry shortcake dessert and finished it off, it looked delicious! You can see it in some of the above pics.
The restaurant was cute. On the inside the theming was well done. We sat in the outside area and had a view of the river around tom sawyer island. The ships sailed by and it was a nice place to people watch. It would be a good place to view Fantasmic from I think. Very cute restaurant, but the line can be quite long and frightening sometimes! Would return, as long as the line wasnt too long!
Didnt eat again until after the Christmas parade (which was adorable btw!). We went to Refreshment Corner (which is in the same place and pretty much the same thing as Caseys Corner in WDW, so I always call it Caseys, this one is definitely sponsored by Coca-cola, if you couldnt notice from the pics). The foot long hot dogs here are pretty good and made of all beef. They are about $5.19 for the foot longs. I got a foot long with no bun and added cheese. I was disappointed they didnt melt the cheese at first, but it actually tasted really good non-melted. The lady behind me asked what kind of hot dog I got, and I said it was a regular hot dog but without the bun, and she laughed and turned to her friend and pointed at the hot dog. I thought that was a bit strange, but whatever. Everyone else in my family got regular hot dogs.
Anyway, we got seats outside and the piano player was playing Christmas music. It really is a very nice atmosphere for just a counter service! Though my sister did complain that we just spent $30.00 on a bunch of hot dogs. I wasnt complaining, the hot dog was good and I enjoyed listening to the piano player. Will return as I always do!

My hot dog that somebody laughed at:

Everyone but me had a pineapple dole whip float at the tiki bar, later on. Ive had them before and they are delicious!!
