Disneyland Food: If you could only pick one meal/item?

Wow, a lot of people love Big Thunder BBQ, I guess I'll try them out on our next trip :thumbsup2

I'm a HUGE foodie so I love trying new things. My most favorite meal (by far) is the Monte Cristo (regular kind) with the Pomme Frites (this is definitely a meal to share):

Best experience was definitely "The Vintner's Table" at Napa Rose. I think it's something you should try at least once in your lifetime :cloud9: (only if you're into culinary experiences)

I can't wait to try these on our next trip:
French Dip @ French Market
Lobster Nachos @ Cove Bar
Something from Carthay Cirle Restaurant or Carthay Cirle Lounge

The nachos at Whitewater Snacks are amazing and can easily feed two people. Their carnitas burger is awesome also. We usually go there for lunch on our Ca Adv days.

breakfast - steak and eggs from Steakhouse 55
lunch -Pomme Frites from Cafe Orleans
appetizer - Seven deadly sins from Napa Rose,
dinner - crab cake w arugula & chardonnay from Hearthstone

snack - churro or beignets

looking forward to trying Carthay Circle:drinking1
next week

Nothing fancy but I would pick the crispy chicken sandwich and onion rings from the Hungry Bear. Love the food and the atmosphere there!
DH would pick the turkey and provolone from Hungry Bear.
And since I polled DH, my little ones wanted to chime in as well:
DD (10) votes for ice cream from Gibson girl.
DD (8) said a churro
DD (8) said a burger from Village Haus.

What is a Red's Apple Freeze? We didn't try the Cozy Cone on our last trip due to DS milk allergy.

It's kinda like an apple juice slurpee. Description from Disney Food Blog below:

Red’s Apple Freeze

If you don’t think apple juice can be interesting, then maybe you need to head over to Cozy Cone Motel in Disney California Adventure to try Red’s Apple Freeze.

Icy frozen beverages are the bomb on a hot, hot day. And this one is unique because it’s actually juice-based. It’s an Apple Juice Slushie, flavored with Marshmallow Syrup to give you something akin to a liquid caramel apple. Then, it’s topped with a sweet-and-sour Passionfruit Mango Foam for just the right punch of tartness.

Liquid caramel apple??? I think I found another thing to try on our next trip!

As Crystal1313 said, it's basically an apple juice slushie. It's pretty good when it's still frozen, but once it thaws, it becomes overly sweetened apple juice. So, if you get one, make sure to finish it before it melts! Over at the Cozy Cone, you can get it in a regular cup or in a Carsland souvenir glass (it's plastic).

Mine would have to be the Kebobs at the Paradise Garden Grill with the chimchurri sauce. I love the salad on the side as well as the rice.
As for snacks, I love the dill pickels from the fruit stands, and the caramel apples rolled in nuts from Pooh's Corner. :stir:

It's very sweet! But yummy I was able to finish drinking it before it melt. DH helped a bit ;)

My choices (based on food yumminess and atmosphere):

Disneyland: Blue Bayou; monte cristo with a side of gumbo and a mint julep.

California Adventure: Flo's; turkey dinner with mashed potatoes & bbq beans as sides...and a Pear-a-Dice soda from Cozy Cones!

Here is another vote for the White Water Snacks, Nacho's! Very large, easy to share, and love the quiet Atmosphere... nice break from the parks!

DS12 loves these. He says the ones from Maurice's treats in DL are even better. I think the difference between the two is the foam flavor on top and maybe the syrup mixed in too. DS12 says you can't go wrong with either if you like sweet slushie type apple drinks.

I could be wrong, but isn't the Red's Apple Freeze and the same concoction at Maurice's Treats the same thing as LeFou's Brew in WDW?

I like the Red Apple Freeze, and it's perfect on a blistering hot day, but seriously my all time favorite food item in Disneyland is

DOLE WHIP!!!!!

I think my favorites have to be Lobster Nachos or Fish Tacos @ The Cove Bar
Or Lobster tail and fillet Mignon @ Blue Bayou.....
