Anyone running this one? Its the same weekend as the Half Marathon. I've done a few 5k's but need to get back to training. Not quite ready for the half.

first year for me to do the 5k, usually just the half. So glad I did. Should be fun now that it is the Star Tours 5k! I see lots of storm troopers.

Congrats on completing the half and full marathons. I would love to work up to that.

The theme looks cool. Can't wait!

My daughter is running the 5K - are non-runners allowed into the park at the finish line for spectating?

I'm in too! Wish the finish line was moved a little bit, it was crazy crowded just past the finish, but your in DL so it's not all that bad.

My wife and I are veterans of Disney running (done the Disney Marathon the past 3 years in FLA...with 1 Goofy Challenge). This year, we're making our first trip to CA to do the Disneyland Half.

We were so disappointed when the 5k filled up so quickly and would really still like to do it. Our family all runs and my son is a Star Wars nut!! Does anyone know any possible way to get an entry? Charitable contribution? Third party vendor?

Thanks in advance for any guidance

Check with Get Travel. That's the DL travel company that sets up the park tickets and hotels. I know they were offering registrations for the 1/2, but not sure if they do it for the 5k. I would give them a call to check it out. I don't think there's a direct link from the DL 1/2 website, but their website is gettravel.com.

Good luck!

Or possibly a charity, though that may be kind of pricey for a 5k. Charities are listed on the registration page.

The other option is to head the craig's list/ebay route. (Note for those who know me - I do not condone the after market route - only offering a route to satisfy the problem)

Good luck

I think the best place for spectators is in the quad area between the two parks as the runners pass through.

I'll be running the 5K (I love that the theme is Star Tours) and the half marathon that weekend. I'm so very excited about these upcoming events and hanging out with my Disney friends.

ooooo, I didn't know it was Star Tours. I've made it to the ride 3 times and it has been fantastic! I'm training, did 2 miles yesterday without much knee pain which is my big issue.
