I know that I can go online to buy tickets for the Disneyland Express from SNA to my hotel.

What do I do if I'm trying to get from my offsite hotel (the Hojo) to LAX (not SNA)?

What are the specifics of how the Disneyland Express works? I'm used to the Magical Express so this is all new to me.

And thanks to people who provided me with some information earlier this week about going to DLR (since I'm only done WDW). I'm very excited about my trip to Vegas and Anaheim in January. Now I just wish that Vegas would be warmer that time of year... then again, most anything is warmer than Ohio in the winter...

You should be able to buy your return trip tix on-line also...I just check the web-site and all you have to do is buy the LAX/Hotel one-way tix (it does NOT matter which ONE-WAY you use it for: LAX to hotel or hotel to LAX)...here is the link to buy the tixs on-line:

I have done this in the past and I will be doing it again on Thanksgiving day (I'm flying into SNA, but I will return via LAX)...hope this helps you...

Basically you pick up the shuttle at the aiport and it takes you to the DL Hotel first..from there they transfer you to your hotel...on your way home you look at the scheule to see what time they pick people up from your hotel, in your case you are on "Route C"...you go back to the DL Hotel and pick up more people headin to LAX...you need to catch a shuttle at least 3 hours before your filght departure time...here is the shuttle schedule for DL Express...

I hope this helps you...

I just thought I'd add my two cents! :goodvibes

I've taken the Disneyland Express and Super Shuttle, and I have to honestly say that I prefer Super Shuttle. They're a little more expensive, but there is less stopping- and I tend to be a little bit impatient when I'm traveling,! I just like to be home/there already!

In any case, we're looking forward to seeing you and hope you have a pleasant journey to us!

See you in January!
Lorealle

Thank you very much. I tend to be an overplanner, so this information helps me out a lot.

We've done both the Disney Express and the Super Shuttle. We prefer the bus. We were the only ones going to Disney on the shuttle and we went around and around. We dropped off 4 people and were the last ones dropped off. If you have enough people to fill the Super Shuttle that would be great, then they wouldn't go around the airport 12 times to get enough riders. Which ever way have a great trip. 4 more sleeps for us and we will be catching the Disney Express.

My DW prefers the bus since it's a smooth ride vs the typical bumpy ride in a shuttle. A consideration if you have a bad back. Just another data point.

Oh Lorealle, my mileage varied with that SO much. :) In March after the ladies trip, I was the SS lady's first pickup. First I had to argue with her that I was, indeed, her person...she'd seen me in the vicinity of some kids as I walked by the office, and she decided that I was with the kids, and therefore, not a single rider as she was expecting. Then despite my having a very normal last name and my booking online with my name (you'd think it would just print out from what I typed in?), she didn't have my name down in any understandable form, and I had to finally pull out my confirmation number to prove to her that I was her person. And THEN we drove for an *hour*, up and down Harbor and Katella, picking up person after person from the big natural items convention in town at that time....I thought I was going to jump out of my skin by the time we finally got to the airport... Thankfully the people also picked up were *lovely*.

And then since I've only taken Grayline to/from DLH, I've been the first dropped off and last picked up!

So it definitely all just depends.... :)

I have a question too! My mom is flying in to meet us for our DL trip and booked through a AAA travel agent. The travel agent booked her Disneyland Express ticket too. She told my mom that she would have tags to put on her luggage to have her luggage delivered for her to the DL Hotel.

Here's my question, do they do this at DL? I thought that was a WDW Magical Express service only?

This travel agent has been confused about other things (like saying it's extremely hard to link reservations so that you get connecting rooms -- I did this in a single phone call) so I wanted to make sure one way or another about the luggage. I don't want my mom coming to the hotel with no luggage and expecting to find it in her room only to discover that a trip to SNA is ahead of her to retrieve it!

I've never heard of Disneyland Express taking charge of your bags that way. As you say, your TA is probably confused.

Your TA is wrong! Your mom will have to pick up her luggage and take it out to the Disneyland Express bus. I have also been asked by shuttles going by to go ahead and get in. They drive off pretty quickly when I tell them I have a voucher for the bus, but they can be pretty insistant. Make sure she knows she is waiting for a full size bus and it will usually have a picture of Disneyland on the side. The way it worked for us was that we gave up our voucher at the Disneyland Hotel (first stop) and were given a return ticket. Your mom is staying at the Disneyland Hotel so the bellhop guys will help her with her luggage at that point. Then the bus went to each hotel, that those on the bus were going to.

Your TA is wrong!

Good to have confirmation on this. I swear, I'm going to train my mother NOT to use travel agents for things like Disney. Just let me do it instead and we can avoid disinformation with DISinformation.
