Disneyland ePass and fastpass process

Hi! I recently bought my DL ticket and it's an ePass that I'm supposed to show on my phone. Great! Except I can't find anything on how the fastpass will work. Do the machines have barcode scanners as well as the slot to insert your ticket?

I done have experience with this but my guess would be that they will print you a ticket once there (might want to get there early and got to the ticket booth rather than trying at the gate).

Unless its been upgraded since June the FP machines do not have a scanner so you will need a paper ticket to use them.

They will give you a ticket at the gate when you arrive that can be used in the FP machine.

I think they are moving to a system that will scan the ticket on your phone (they tested barcode scanners recently) but so far you have to have something to stick in the machine.

I think they'll just do that at the gate for you. I've seen people exchange e-tickets at the gate many times. It's very quick.

I gotta ask because I am doing something similar. Does anyone know if this is only done at either the ticket booth or at the front gates or can it be done at the hotel check in as well? I swore we had done it at the hotel check in once but that might have been something else.

We did it at the front gates when we went.

If you have a voucher from a 3rd party seller or travel agency, many times those need to be exchanged at a ticket booth or on site hotel. If you have an eticket with a bar code you take it straight to the gate.

If you are staying onsite, they may exchange your voucher for the hard ticket.

Read your vouchers...it will tell you whether or not you can skip the ticket booth and go right to the turnstiles.
