Hi, I'm returning to the board after a long absence. I live in Southern California and had annual passes about 10 years ago.

I'll be visiting for the first time with mobility issues and I currently have to use crutches sometimes to get around. New knees are happening next year.

I have a question about my family dropping me off first before they park.

Off of Harbor there is a roadway that ends at an entrance to the Esplanade area between Disneyland and CA. It is next to the Disneyland wheelchair/scooter rental. Can my family use that roadway to drop me off next to the rentals to get a chair or scooter or is that only for busses & rideshare?

I will need to rent a wheelchair or scooter and know that I have to get there early.

What is the easiest way to do this?

Also how do you manage carrying crutches on your wheelchair or a scooter?

Thank you for any help and tips!

That is only for the busses, but they could drop you off at the rideshare lot on Harbor.

Another option would be to rent a scooter off property. Will you be staying in a hotel, or just going for the day? Alot of people like getting them off property because you can use it all day and don't have to turn it in when you leave the park.

Mobility scooters gets great reviews and is right across the street from the park entrance. Your family could drop you off there and you could scoot over and meet them in the esplanade.

We rented a scooter from D&R Mobility Scooter Rental (https://dandrmobility.com/on) Harbor and it worked out better for us than the Disneyland Scooters (which we have also tried). The DL versions can't go past the security tents so you'd have to walk out to Harbor (sometimes a cast member will walk out to Harbor with you and bring the scooter back but not guaranteed). We usually stay on Harbor so picking up the scooter there worked great for us. I'm not sure about what to do with crutches. We hung my wife's cane on the back of the scooter. Hope you have a wonderful trip!
