Disneyland Divas working out, getting healthy, and looking fine in '09!!

Good morning Ladies! Well, we have survived the sleep over! No major injuries to report and not much yelling either! However, it is almost 930am and I still haven't had breakfast...should probably go do that! I just can't believe I have to go back to work tomorrow! I need to go to the grocery store and get some healthy snacks for my 16 hour day! It is so hard for me to wrap my head around that!

DH and I are going to go see Mamma Mia this afternoon. I already saw it and loved it and we wanted to spend a little time just the two of us, so his dad is going to watch the kids. That should be interesting!

Sarah

P.S. Water, Water, Water, Water,...you get the picture!

Hi Sarah, glad the sleep over went well. I saw Mamma Mia and loved it too! Have fun.

Where is everyone else????? I hope you're all doing ok and enjoying your week-end.

My dog has done stuff like this a few times, too bad he has chosen the worst times to do it (like Christmas and other holidays where the desserts were needed).

Hope everyone had a great weekend! I spent mine cleaning and now I'm bored out of my mind.

I really want a cupcake now.......

;) :rotfl:

We were out most of the day today and I didn't drink enough water. It was so hot too. I need to make that my goal for the rest of the week; to drink more water and do some exercising. I'd love to lose 3 lbs before Friday.

Hello Ladies!

Got back from Monterey, which was lovely. Saw seals, otters, lots of sea kelp and enjoyed the natural beauty. I was pretty good about what I ate. Not perfect, but I could have been a lot worse.

I'm rushing to get in my run today before heading in to the office. Yes, I actually have to drive myself over to Palo Alto today for work this afternoon. Ugh.

Happy Monday everyone!
And for the...

Oh my gosh, I'm back up and running.....my new laptop finally showed up!!!

It's a little weird typing on a keyboard I'm not used to yet. The buttons on this keyboard are more flat, so I'm having a harder time hitting the correct buttons. Oh well, you won't mind more typos for a while, right?;)

Anyway, I'm so happy to be back! I've missed you all a lot!:grouphug:

Unfortunately I've really fallen off the wagon BIG TIME with my diet.:sad2:

On the bright side, I've had some great food lately.:rolleyes1 :goodvibes

Welcome back. Sounds like it was a really nice time. I'm jealous. I love the coastline.

Oh, and when it comes to vacations, all bets are off. I say forget the diet!! LOL

There you are!!! I thought I was going to have to send out a search party if you didn't show up soon.

;)

I'm glad your laptop finally arrived!! :yay: Now we better see more of you.

As for falling off the wagon, well, it happens. Goodness knows we've all been there. Just get right back on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can do it!!!! We are all in this together and all have our own challenges and goals to meet. I know we can do it though! I know you can get right back on track and keep at it. :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

No need to send a search party for me......I can't stay away for long or else I'd go crazy! I almost did this last week without a computer. It wasn't fun, that's for sure!

I seriously need to get a mouse for this laptop. This touch pad thingy just isn't going to do it for me. I better put that on the shopping list.

Yep, I've got to get back on the diet bandwagon. I'm jumping on ASAP!:cheer2:

(Although I did enjoy eating at this restaurant called The Melting Pot for our 15th anniversary. It's a fondue place, and boy was it GOOD!):thumbsup2

I agree about the touch pad thingy on laptops, I could never get use to it.

I fell of the bandwagon a couple of times too. Take this evening for instance, I had dinner at the Cheesecake Factory (I blame Beth! ;) ). We Just have to accept that it happens and then jump back onto the wagon before it leaves us.

OMG, the Melting Pot is so yummy! Their dessert is to die for. Of course I don't go there very often, because it gets pricey.

Happy 15th Anniversary! :goodvibes

OMG, we have one of those about 5 minutes from my house. I never knew what it was. :confused3 Now you've got me curious!!

Hope you had a great anniversary!!!!!

Welcome back! And Happy Anniversary!

All this talk of yummy food is making me hungry... :sad2:

Where's Sarah keep our mind off food and on WATER! :confused3

I managed to get my run in today. And drove into Palo Alto for a meeting. I'm tired and there's leftover pizza on the counter. SO tempting. Time to drink water.

Don't you go acting all innocent!

Now where did I put those boots...:stir:

Pizza sounds SO good! There's going to be a birthday party at my work on Wednesday for a coworker and there's going to be pizza and cake. That'll be hard to resist! I'll just walk around all day with a bottle of Listerine. :rotfl:

Hope everyone is having/had a great day. Don't worry if you didn't drink enough water, because I'm pretty sure I drank enough for all of us. ;)

:lmao: I can just picture that!! And everytime someone offers you some cake, you'll frantically shake your head no and take a swig. :rotfl2:

This week has already started on a wrong note. No gym today because I'm studying like crazy for my math final exam tomorrow. I already know I'm going to bomb it but I had to make sure I did all the homework and practice exams so I have enough points to barely pass the class. I can't wait until it's over! This fall I'm taking Math for elementary school teachers which should be easy as pie.

Ok so I know for a fact that I'm having pizza on Wed and Thurs for our last days of camp. I will limit myself to 1-2 slices and buy a big salad.

So I think I will only be working out tomorrow and Wednesday this week:sad2:

We're leaving for Lathrop (about 30 minutes from Sacramento) to visit our family and I'm so psyched!:cool1::woohoo:I love them and I rarely get to see them.

I will try my hardest to eat healthy and get some exercise over there. My cousin tells me they live just steps from a nice park so we can go and take a walk every day or night. Sadly, my pooch will not be joining us:sad1: It's a real hassle driving 6 hours with a dog so she will be vacationing:goodvibes at my aunt's house but I'm just hoping she doesn't get into any fights with my aunt's dogs:scared:

They took her on Sunday and she only met one of the dogs, Nissa. Nissa wanted to bite Osita (my dog) but Osita is bigger, faster, and younger than poor Nissa. I wonder how my dog will get along with my aunt's chihuahua and black (mean) terrier.

Hmmmm.

Ok that was WAY off topic, sorry.

G'night.:cloud9:

Good morning everyone. Just had to check in. I had my 16 hour day yesterday, 5 hours of sleep last night and I am up and getting ready to go back to work but only for 8 hours this time! I missed you all yesterday, but I did really well with my eating because I planned my whole day out ahead of time, portioned everything, and brought it with me to work. I also drank lots of water, which I know helps me stay on track! So...you guessed it! It's.....WATER TIME! (MC Hammer theme song here!) :lmao:

We have a Melting Pot down in Seattle (about 2 hours from my house) that I have always wanted to try! Maybe some year for our anniversary we will go and spend the night in Seattle as well. Hmmm, something to think about.

Later (and drink you water!)
Sarah

Sarah: Congratulations on making it through a 16 hour day on your first day back to work! That is a true accomplishment. And staying on healthy food plan to boot! Most excellent job! :thumbsup2

Made it through my run yesterday -- about 3.5 miles. Today is weight training and I may try and do a yoga class or something instead of running. I think my legs need a break.

Now for the...

Have a great Tuesday!
And I'll go get some water now. :)

Good evening ladies.

I'm still not quite back on the wagon, although I haven't done too bad today with my calorie intake. I had some left over pork for breakfast, a fresh cucumber out of my garden for a snack (yum), and (here's where I cheated a little) a small plate of nachos I made which consisted of about 12 doritos, some salsa, and a little bit of shredded cheese. Okay, not the best thing to eat when dieting, but it's not THAT bad.:goodvibes

And of course I had my iced tea.

No exercise......this is my biggest challenge, getting off my fat butt and walking a few miles every day. Why oh why don't I live near Disneyland where I would walk everyday with glee through the parks.:rotfl:

Oh man, did I mess up today!!!! Wow. I was, and have been, totally craving Mexican food. I was good this morning, had my cereal and fruit, then for lunch had a veggie burger, no bun, no mayo, etc.

But by dinner, I was just like screw it. I am so tired of watching what I eat. I called up Ruben and told him to stop and get some Mexican food on the way home. He asked me if I was sure and I practically screamed YES!!!! I want it and nothing else will do until I've had some. So he brought some home.

I ate way too many chips and guacamole  , but I only ate one enchilada. Now normally I would have eaten BOTH enchiladas, PLUS the rice and beans. So I was surprised I felt full as quickly as I did.

I know I'll be kicking myself when I don't lose anything this week. Shoot, I might even GAIN! But it was just something I had to have. I think Aunt Flo had something to do with such a strong craving.

But what's done is done. Tomorrow it's right back on track for me. I just hope this little craving didn't hurt me too much......:rolleyes1

OMG! I was totally craving Mexican food too. After I got home from work, I went right back out and got some! The whole time I was thinking how it was going to mess everything up for me, but I just did not care. I'm with you though, tomorrow is a new day...now if I could just stop saying that everyday! :lmao:

At least you only ate one enchilada. ;) With just a little exercise tomorrow you can work that right off and still lose this week! I think this is a great opportunity to start that exercise program! :cheer2:

Last week, all week, I was craving ice cream. I thought the craving would go away. It didn't. By Thursday, I told my husband I would go ahead and skip dinner, just so long as I got some ice cream. We went out to dinner at an ice cream place and I had a salad and ice cream (fat free though!). Sometimes you've got to indulge I think. It's just a matter of doing it sensibly and getting right back on the program. Maybe even exercising a bit more or eating a bit less the next day. I wouldn't be surprised if you still lost weight this week. Don't throw in the towel yet! Drink that water and get moving!
