Donna I know what you mean. It was SO hot here last week but it is finally cooling off. We had our swim team party yesterday and we had to stay till pretty late and it actually got kind of COLD if you can believe it after dark. And then this morning it was chilly outside. NICE trend. I hope it stays this way!

Anyway I am at an even 160 so I hope I can break the 160's and get back in the 150's soon. It is still just SO ridiculous to me that I am even HAVING to do this considering I was at 155 for SO long and then just shot up and STAYED there. I am so disgusted with myself that I am even HAVING to work so hard to get it back off considering it just flew on for no real reason. Oh well cest la vie I guess. I just hope that I can get back to where I was and keep going!

Anyway hope everyone has good luck and a good day! :)
 
Aloha! Arrived in Maui late last night. It's beautiful here. I was up at 5am for a couple of work meetings, then to the beach with the family and then I got in a 50 minute run. Just gorgeous and I am so happy to be here.

Beth: You'd better keep up on your walking, just in case! BTW...I did reserve a room at HoJo's at the entertainment rate. Can I transfer those ressies to anyone if they need them?

Kelly, glad you have a cooling trend! Here, a cooling trend means we are out of the triple digits (this is an unusually hot summer). I don't do well in heat.

You know, you say the weight flew back on for no reason. Whenever I say things like that to my trainers, (past and present), they are usually able to pinpoint what it was that I did. It helps to know because then you don't feel like your weight is up to the fickle hands of fate.

One time it was because I was eating on a program and once I went off program, I didn't know how to eat. If it helps, and only if it helps, a moment of reflection might give you clues.

The main thing is that you are on your path now! :banana::banana: I am also working to break a number and hope I will see it tomorrow morning!

I haven't felt great this weekend but made it to the gym today after having lunch with an old friend. I picked a Thai place as he's an out of towner and I regretted it because I ate the rice. So I went to the gym. I get there and open up my gym bag that I packed last night. I pulled out my shoes, my socks, my headband, my sports bra... and.....

no workout clothes!!

I could have given up (it would have been another 30 or 35 min to drive home and back again), but I rolled up the hem of my nice long lunch pants and put my nice lunch shirt back on and headed for 35 min on the elliptical. :woohoo:

Everyone, keep it up. Sarah, how's your gym with the daycare going?

I did a strength session today. Worked from 5am-12noon. Went to the beach with the family and then was going to have a cocktail with DH, but decided to hit the gym first. Wow, was it hard. Anyway, I didn't do great, but I struggled through my routine and then came back for the cocktail!

Eating has been OK. We are cooking for ourselves in the condo, so not as much fruit and fish as I'd like, but more food that my kids will eat.

It's gorgeous here. Wish I could stay all summer.

Donna, yeah what I meant was I was eating good and working out and STILL gaining which made no sense but I think it might have been the meds I was taking. But I finally have things under control I think and have finally started to lose again which is good.

And Jen I hope you are enjoying your trip!!

As for me I am hanging at 159. I am going up and down in ounces for now but this is a crazy week. It is vacation bible school and my tests so I wasn't able to workout yesterday because of it being first day of VBS and I needed to get the girls there early and I was afraid of having enough time and then today I have my prep and I am afraid with fasting all day to workout on top of it. Afraid I will get too hungry. Then tomorrow morning I have to get up at 4 to finish my "prep" and then be at the doc's at 8 for my test so again no working out tomorrow either. But hopefully by Thurs I will feel up to working out again. I just hope and pray he can give me something to fix my pain and doesn't say I have to have surgery!! Or even if surgery is the final result that he can give me something in the interim so I can go on my trip next week!

But anyway as usual life always gets in the way but I am working out whenever I can and trying to eat well in the meantime. I have only lost a few pounds so far but it is something and I am not giving up till I get this "new" weight back off and hopefully MORE!!

Hello! I have been working tons of overtime and it's been really warm and I have to admit to not going to the gym very much. One day I was all ready to go after work and my ds had a fit because he had already been once that day and didn't want to go back a second time and also he didn't want to be there when he could be with me...he was missing me. Since then I have felt guilty when I try to take him and I think I am also using that as an excuse to not go, playing the bad mom card, I guess. I need to get over it and get back to the gym. My plan is to go thursday. I work a double tonight and have a meeting on wednesday.

My tip for the day is you freeze grapes and then take out one grape when you want an icy sweet treat.

Ah, I see. You sound like you're doing great. You broke that 160 mark!!! I also broke my mark but I don't know if it counts since I've been sick. Although I've been unable to exercise for the last two days. I worked out on Monday and then got sick that evening.

Keep up the gym because you want to keep this weight off and be strong! Go Sarah! :yay: (your son one day will say oh mom, you should have gone to the gym) ;)
 
One tip, huh? Drink your water first, all of it. Don't drink any diet soda until after you have had all your water for the day...by then you may not want it!

So I am supposed to be at my WW meeting right now, but due to a lady at work banging in sick I am at work instead. I think there is a meeting in the next town over tomorrow so I will try to get to that one. I am kind of bummed because it was the last meeting at this location and I was hoping to hit my 30 lb mark to go out with a bang. Oh well. Such is life, and we can sure use the overtime money what with Glenn out of work. He is bringing me dinner since I didn't know I would be working the overtime. I will get to see the kids which will be nice since I worked the double yesterday and didn't really get to see them. Maybe I will get to see them some tomorrow.

As for me when I did my "BE" earlier this year I lost like 2 or 3 lbs overnight but with this stupid thing I only lost a few ounces. I was 159.8 when I started and 159.2 yesterday morning after basically not eating all day yesterday AND having my cleaning. Although after the test I found out I wasn't quite "all cleaned out" so maybe that was the problem LOL.

But anyway then after the test my mom took me to get something to eat and we went to this great little trendy place that has really healthy egg white omlettes and whole wheat french toast with nuts and grains etc. So she had an omlette and I had the nut and grain and french toast. It was yummy. Then I had that at 10 so I didn't have anything till dinner but I splurged and had a burger so I thought I might actually be up a bit this morning but I must have done SOMETHING right because eventhough I haven't worked out in 3 days and I didn't eat the BEST food yesterday I was actually DOWN to 157.8 today! Shocking! But for now I am feeling ok so I am going to workout this morning. I can't pick up my medicine he prescribed till after noon as they were out of one of them (he prescribed 2) so fingers crossed this stuff will work otherwise my trip is going to be off!

Anyway that's bout it for now. Good luck everyone and talk soon! :)

Thanks! I am really looking forward to seeing you too! I am going in September to the mini meet but not october and then I will be there in February! I did take some before photos and will take some progress photos as I go. Because I have so much to lose, the loss is not really too noticable yet, but I bet it will be once I am down another 15 or 20 (hopefully by the september trip!:banana:)

Sorry I have been totally gone from here. I'm approaching this whole weight loss & exercise thing slowly this time. I'm trying to make better eating choices and getting more activity in each day. Today, instead of getting a burger I got a chicken sandwich from Jack-in-the-Box without mayo or cheese. I didn't get the fries and I shared a lemonade with my sister.

I'm getting of the computer soon to join the cousins in the pool to swim laps and then play colors or Marco Polo.

Wow, where did everybody go? Hellllooooo out there!

I have been doing pretty well staying on plan though I haven't been working out much...been at work. My dh and I went to the gym for our date on Sunday before I had to go to work so I suppose that is something! Tomorrow night is going to be hard though. My 3 best friends and I are having a sleepover at one of their homes....we are doing pasta, veggies and chocolate fondu for dessert. I am in charge of the fondu and will be bringing fruit and pretzels to dip, but it is still going to be high point! Oh well, that is what the weekly allowance points are for...that and the alcohol that we will consume!:scared1:

Hi everyone! I hope you are all doing well and keeping at it with the weight loss. :woohoo: :yay: :cool1: :cheer2: :grouphug:

Honestly right now I am just focusing on maintaining. Not sure why but I can't really think about trying to lose more right now. I have stopped beating myself up, and have decided to be proud of the 50 lbs that I lost and have kept off for 9 months, instead of berating myself for not losing more.

That's not to say I'm giving up entirely. Not at all. I still have another 50 to go to reach my final goal. I just can't tackle it right now.


Also I wanted to let you know I heard from Amy. Her DH is doing better after his illness in the hospital. Good news for them!! She's swamped at work. And her doc still hasn't given her the all clear to resume exercising, so for now she's just maintaining the 65 pounds she lost, which is great and hard enough to do, especially without exercise.

The bad news is, she won't make the Labor Day walk/run at DL. Bummer. I know she was looking forward to that. So Jen, looks like it's up to you to represent the Divas!!
