Disneyland: Disney Vacation Club Member Lounge Coming to Disneyland Tomorrowland OPENING APRIL 19th!

But, but all the perks are disappearing!! 😝
Well, this makes basically one perk for us West Coasters. I think I have a very tepid yay-it’s an ok thing that I might use once per visit for a half hour. It’s a fair perk at Epcot but when I’m at DL it’s about as fast to walk back to the Grand for a break. I’m not sad they did it but I’d love to have things like a real AP discount at DL, or the free pre-park walks or the Soarin’ tour that we used to have. Tour is gone and they charge for the walks-and the AP discount was only $20.

Had a feeling this was coming but so excited that it's in a park and not in VDH. Now just reinstate CoP underneath... Please Disney please.

I made sure I cashed in that $20 MK discount when I renewed. I live by DLR so I rarely stay onsite, so I’m excited to have a place to chill for a bit especially on hot days.

Ugh! When I didn't see any mention of a Magic Key discount on the DVC website, I figured it had disappeared and renewed online w/out the discount. Oh, well ... missed out on $40 (two MK renewals).

Why not call MS and see if they can refund the money? Hopefully the hold time won’t be forever.

Do we know if this lounge will be for "blue card" holders only? Too bad for those of us who bought resale contracts.

Looks like a blue card perk to me...

From Disney Parks Blog announcement:

'The new lounge will be open daily during scheduled hours to eligible* Disney Vacation Club Members with valid park tickets and reservations to Disneyland Park.'

'*Ownership interests must be purchased directly from Disney Vacation Development, Inc. and Valid theme park admission (sold separately) and park reservation also required, and park reservations are limited, subject to availability and not guaranteed. Lounges are incidental benefits subject to restrictions, availability, operating hours and capacity, and change or termination without notice.'

Are the current lounges at Epcot and TOTW limited to just blue card holders?

blue card holders?
I wonder how long before the term ”blue card” is no longer used since now not only are there no more physical blue cards, but the blue temporary card from the website is gone as well, replaced with a generic DVC card with DVC Y/ND info.

At least there is something still there and it does show DVC Y plus my membership number.

It’s still good for one month but this may have been the solution for those without a smartphone.

Has anyone read any updates about Star View Station beyond “opening in the first half of 2023”?

Some former Imagineers have speculated that the Avatar experience announced in the recent earnings call would go into the same building that was announced for the lounge.

I guess there's a smaller Avatar walkthrough at Shanghai.

Can't wait! We have park reservations for that Saturday and will plan to check it out!
