We are about 20 days from closing on our Boardwalk property. YIPPEE! I believe that I read the DVC members get a discount on AP's at Disneyland? Is that true?

I don't think that is true, but It would save me some money every year if that was the case!!!!

From DVC member site, Member Perks:
"Disney Vacation Club Members and their immediate family (living in the same household) are eligible to receive a $20 discount on new Disneyland Resort Deluxe and Premium Annual Passports.

With an Annual Passport, you can enjoy more than 100 attractions, shows and parades, plus dozens of unique restaurants and shops at the Disneyland Resort. And, based on the Passport that you choose, you'll enjoy a number of Passholder benefits, subject to restrictions (including but not limited to, blockout dates, capacity and operating hours).

Deluxe Annual Passport
The Deluxe Annual Passport includes 315 pre-selected days of admission to both Disneyland Theme Parks and unlimited enjoyment of attractions (except arcades and midway games) during regular operating hours*. Please note that this Passport does have blockout dates.

Premium Annual Passport
The Premium Annual Passport provides you with an entire year of Disney magic and adventures*, with no blockout dates.

*Excludes separately priced activities and events."

In addition, DVC members receive lots of discounts on food at DL. Nearly ever counter and table service restaurant offers a 10% discount, including those at Downtown Disney. Just show your blue member ID card!

Right now, Disneyland is offering even a better special on AP's, buying online through the link given on mousesavers.com and also on a thread on the Disneyland discussion board you can get $30 off of an AP bought before the end of the year. I just purchased mine yesterday, will be going in Nov and then again in June 2009, staying on points, so the AP will be of great use.

I've read on Mousesavers (I think) that you can use WDW tickets (not AP's) to exchange for admission at Disneyland but not the other way around using DL tickets to get WDW tickets. We have lots of 10 day park hoppers so I'm hoping to use those next August when we visit DL for 3 or 4 days rather than buying DL tickets. That may be an option rather than buying a DL annual pass, too.
