Does "Resort Guest" mean you have to be staying at one of the Disney Hotels?

I can't see where it says that you have to be staying at a DL hotel to use this service :confused3

So I would assume this is available to everyone as it doesn't say that you need to add a resort reservation number to the email to make the bookings. But I haven't used the service so I am not 100% sure.

sweet... i wanted to book us a ressie at steakhouse 55 and at napa rose, but was going to get the TA to do it...

now i get to do it myself :)

i thought resort guest mean guests staying at onsite properties -- so i have just submitted an email to disney seeking clarification as to whether 'resort guest' means person staying at an onsite hotel, or just means person with a valid ticket for admission on the date of the dining reservation.

we shall see what disney says :)

I wish they'd offer the same service for Disneyland Paris! :scratchin

I agree Mary,

I don't get why the services offered by Disney aren't consistent across all resorts? Why not capitalise on a good idea and in some instances the money to develop the technology to service guests the best you can? They seem to do it for most rides. :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Thank you for contacting dine@disneyland.com.

Good Afternoon Alicia!

Welcome to the Disneyland Resort! That is actually a very good question.
When we say "Disneyland resort guests" we mean anyone spending time on
our property. Whether you are playing in the theme parks, staying at the
hotels, or just spending time walking around in our Downtown Disney
district. We can book reservations for anyone who want to dine with us
at the resort. If guests are wanting to dine with us and NOT staying at
one of our 3 hotels on Disney property, all we need to know is Where you
want to dine at, what time, how many people in your party, and a contact
number.

Should you have additional questions, please contact us again by
replying to this e-mail.

Best Regards,

dine@disneyland.com

I think it is a fantastic idea and saves us Aussies having to get up at around 4am to make a reservation!

Now I just have to wait until closer to the time we are going and shoot them an email!

Must add this info to my PTR too!!!!

Thanks again and have a great Disney day:flower3:
