Disneyland chronic pain but can’t use wheelchair, please help!

I just used a DAS for the second time due to anxiety issues. It is the first time I’ve used it extensively as my first time I only used it for 2 rides. It was a LOT of extra walking. But you know what? It is the first time my pain condition has remained manageable and I’ve not ended up with back spasms. Must have been the movement. (And I get what you mean about sitting making it worse. I have pudendal neuralgia and sitting hurts!)

I have pudendal neuralgia and PFD and there are times I cannot ride any attractions that do not have cushioned seats, which are few and far between. How do you handle the required sitting for attractions? Do you bring a cushion?

I just sit without any cushion. The walking actually helps my pudendal neuralgia pain, even though it can flare up my hyper mobility pain and fibromyalgia pain. I guess if it got bad I would bring my special cushion that I use at home.

I've debated bringing my special cushion - I brought it last time and didn't use it as it's pretty bulky, and I brought my heated/vibrating seat cover to use in the car, and didn't use that either. This trip I just brought my heating pad, and use it at night back in the room. I need a smaller, yet substantial cushion - have any favorites?

I appreciate all the comments, but when I say the wheelchairs don’t work, I mean they don’t work for my condition. I’ve tried all different kinds of chairs - different heights, motorized or not - and cannot use any of them without them causing more pain.

It’s a chronic pain issue and my PT and I have been trying all kinds of chairs and rollators and aides other than my canes (which we had to specially order). And even in combination, the other aides make sure things worse.

I know everyone is trying to be helpful, but I’d appreciate if you would just believe me on this one.
Just went to guest services at City Hall, Catherine helped me and I have DAS.

Thank you all so much for your help and encouragement!
