Disneyland Character Dining

Hi

Just wondering where people purchase their tickets from for Character Dining?

I've heard good things about Goofy's Kitchen. Any other suggestions?

We've done the Minnie and Friends breakfast twice and Goofy's for dinner once. We absolutely love Minnie's. I feel the interaction is so much better there than Goofy's and its just so much fun. Goofy's seemed a lot quieter and not as fun. Maybe we just picked a bad night.
Oh, and we just paid when we arrived. We didn't purchase vouchers.

Only been to surfs up, it was great, the kids get up and dance as well.
We only went to this one as our daughter loved Daisy Duck and it was the only place we saw her the whole trip.

We have been a few times and have done...

* Minnie and friends breakfast at the Plaza Inn - awesome experience with heaps of characters

* Ariels Grotto for lunch - food is fantastic characters are all princesses which is great but they tend to only stop by quickly and seems a bit rushed.... BUT it is still a better way to get a picture and autograph instead of lining up for ages.

* Goofy Kitchen for Breakfast - was very very good.... some food is a little odd but still good. Characters were great.

We have always just paid after each meal

We've done Ariel's Grotto for lunch and found the food to be great too, but the princesses spend such as short amount of time at each table. We found Surfs Up characters to be the exact opposite. We went for breakfast (the food was ok) and the characters were around for ages. They spent a fair bit of time interacting with the kids at the tables too. It was one of the DL highlights for our three kids.

Minnie and friends is our favourite. The food is meh but the characters are great. You just book and pay on the day. We were underwhelmed by Ariel's Grotto; both the food and Princess interaction.

So the vouchers you can buy on aRes and American Airlines AU site aren't really discounted?? I cant get exact prices on the DL site how much say Dinner at Goofy's would be.
