Disneyland at max capacity 1:30pm, accepting new visitors at 2:45pm

@DisneylandToday: "Many Guests are enjoying the Parks today. Disneyland Park is not currently admitting new Guests. Updates to follow."

Disney California Adventure park remains available

This Morning....
The Security Line (Mob) on the Harbor side was unbelievable.
The Area was full nearly all the way back the Harbor, including both far sides.
Huge Crowds coming from Toy Story by bus and many walking from Toy Story and the Hotels.
One hour and ten minutes to get to bag check.
Then only 2-3 minutes to get through the Disneyland turnstiles!

Seriously, who looks at that line and says to themself, "I think I'm just gonna jump on the end of this"?

What a horrible way to spend Christmas

What else does one do when they came from out of the area to go to Disneyland for Christmas?
Don't know. If I was there I would have walked right back to my hotel room. Maybe go somewhere nice for lunch/dinner, go see a movie or just hang out with family.

What time was this at?! Crazy... We will be in the parks on Monday and can only hope it isn't quite this insane!!

We got there at 7 for Magic Morning last year. Crowd wasnt bad in CA until about 10. We planned on leaving at 6 for dinner and returning to DL after but obviously that was not possible. Arriving early and using FP made the day fun despite crowds. And yes you can expect crazy crowds until after the Superbowl based on last years numbers in the (Mousewait)app.

We left the BWPPI at 7:45, walked thru security and lined up at DL. Got into the park right at 8 am and even had time to get a locker. We didn't see crowds outside the park like this so we were lucky. The park was crowded with long lines for everything but we used FP plus and had lunch/dinner reservations. Sometimes it was hard to move around all the people but we managed to do all the rides we wanted to with minimal wait times and good views of the parades. It was a cold and windy day and the fireworks were canceled but it was still a good day to spend with my family. Also, we knew the the park would reach capacity so we stayed in DL all day.

Everyone who is worried about someone getting into Disneyland with a gun should be worried about this instead...unless there's a security checkpoint before the security checkpoint.

Hopefully it is not like this right at opening. We will be arriving tomorrow afternoon and plan on getting there in time for rope drop each day.

The local morning show reported on the capacity closure and said something to the effect of, "they didn't mention whether DCA was closed as well but I imagine it would have been since it is smaller." :teeth:
