Disneyland 70th Anniversary Plus 2025 Holiday Calendar

I'm fine with a basic system to keep crowds fair.....but yeah at this point they are literally just hording spots for people getting tickets but I mea come on its 12/11 if people were coming to the DLR they would have tickets by now.

Also I really....really wish you could leave the park as a MK and release your spot so another person could come in at night.
I also wonder if they block reservations for the Key members on certain dates/time periods to keep the Resort hotel guests availability open and/or high.

They never opened up more MK last Saturday but you were able to purchase a ticket and enter the park. I think it’s like the airlines… even if a flight is sold out, they’ll still sell you a seat - as long as they’re getting enough $$$ for it. Kinda like how we all agree OBB was more crowded than in years past, and even though it sold out in June, you could still get in if staying onsite.

MK system is very flawed IMO. It’s literally the same core group of people in the parks every… single… day. I don’t want to keep checking for availability - I don’t have time time and it becomes a huge distraction from my work. People who have no job have a clear advantage…

Also, the parks are open at 8AM but a lot of folks don’t come in until 5PM - 8PM, after school / work. And I mean A LOT. We do 4-day workweeks much of the year and I’m flexible in taking the day I want off, but I often can’t make the decision until the week off.. and reservations are gone by then.

I think the better solution would be to raise the rise, eliminate blackout dates and reservations - for the Inspire Key. Of course they’d need to limit quantity.

Follow up to my previous post as my Googling has not yielded an answer- historically, what *time* does Paint the Night run? I will have a toddler in tow and with the time zone difference, a 9 pm parade will feel like 11 pm to him. If the parade won’t start until way past bedtime, then that’s a point against making a special trip to see it.

We can dream but I sadly think Disney is also doing this for staffing as well

They at this point know what most days will bring and are willing to call on more CMs on days that normal tickets sell alot but don't want to call extra staff for MK's

So I think somehow business wise it works out better this way. I will point out that its only Disneyland that does this Knotts, Sea World, USH and Six Flags all just let AP's walk in whenever and USH has nights were the park is only for pass members and six flags even has a VIP for pass members but its Disneyland so they can treat MKs like trash and we all keep coming back...lol

I'll give them one more year but after this I might take a break, not like much will be added anyway after the 70th. We have like 2-3 more years before another big attraction opens

8:30 or 9 PM for sure

Disney loves to keep people in the park....like using USH as an example they have nighttime shows right now that are at 6 PM and don't mind people coming in and leaving after but Disney wants you in the parks until 9-10 PM.

My advice is naps, if you guys have a hotel go back and nap before coming back for nighttime, its how I'm able to rope drop and stay until after fireworks and not be exhausted

In the 2000s, DL did have a small “lounge” for AP. At one point it included fountain beverages and snacks…. similar to the DVC lounges of today. The demand for everything Disney is so strong I guess they feel they don’t have to do something like that anymore. Oh wait, MK holders get a few dedicated tables tucked away at DCA….although hardly nobody ever goes there. Totally honor system anyway…

There is also a MK Terrace above Wine Country Trattoria.

For Paint the Night, I think it will be a little earlier. Fantasmic is at 9 pm with fireworks at 9:30 pm. My guess is that PTN will be 7 -7:30 pm.

Do you think Paint the Night will be shown at one time or two times a night?

We went during Halloween this year, and now we are hoping to go during the Holiday season in 2025. Looking forward to this!

Elaborating on earlier conversation… MK reservations are definitely going faster than in previous years. Even for the top key, for January, most of the first week, all Sundays and MLK day have been unavailable for awhile - much faster pace than years past.

It is most likely Disneyland controlling the availability. Remember there is a ticket sale for SoCal residents.

Wow

This is great for HM fans....but why you would not have the more poplar retheme....no idea...maybe the for the 70th?

That is really odd. I wonder why.
I think DIsney invested so much into the Haunted Mansion refurbs that starting a Christmas themed ride again so soon after the refurbs finished might have been too much.
Also Disney has to change around their calendars a little bit. It has been over 20+ years for the holiday overlay and the Halloween Time has had the HMH overlay for a while.

Disney has changed its marketing. Having HMH solely during Christmas will keep attendance high during Nov and Dec. where there are ticket sales.

When I was there in August staying at the GCH, a cast member told me that there would be changes for next Halloween Time in 2025. He was right.

The retheme is more popular but Disney just invested millions in the HM refurbs. Disney changed their marketing. I suspect HMH will be during Disneyland's Holiday season from November through January.

But it is already high

So you want less people for Halloween? My Guess is this is for one year for the 70th

Money wise this makes little sense, because the lines speak for themselves....people online want the OG mansion but the lines do not show that

Anyway, congrats to the HMH hates...you win this year
